I don't attend SimHQ but I can't ever remember a discussion even close in depth and maturity in this forum. Talk about pertinent points instead of personality - those guys think - at least in that thread. Some of it was fascinating. Oleg can definitely learn.

Oleg used to visit and discuss in teh UBI forums...until the people here Destroyed that.

I'm thrilled that he has returned to discussions...on SimHQ!!!

LOL...arcadeace...your arrogance wreaks! SimHQ forums are great, much more lighthearted and a whole lot less stuffy than this wannabee board. I've read some great things over there, the attitude is alot more relaxed....better than hearing all the brown holes blow around here....

LOL...mucker...your arrogance wreaks! If you weren't so stuffy in your 'membership' here, you would have understood what I wrote. You blew your own SimHQ fanboy brown holes and completely turned around it's meaning.

Yea. Saw it. I guess, maybe the people here did send Oleg to SimHQ. He certainly seemed much more talkative there, doesn`t he?

Why should somebody send him there? Look at his registration date (Feb. 2000) and membership number at SimHQ. He is one of the first 500 members of that forum. I don't think that the UBI IL-2 forum existed in February 2000.

I think it's mainly a matter of signal to noise ratio that Oleg posts at SimHQ more than here. There are just as many crazies there as anywhere - X-Man's current page 1 thread there is a pretty funny example - but at least, generally speaking, on SimHQ the whining tends to be better worded and better supported when it does occur. I can't imagine it's fun to read partially literate complaints in your second or third language.

Stricter moderation probably helps set the tone as well. Around the point of FB1.0 -> 1.11, where everyone was pounding on Oleg all day long in ORR, some more input from the moderators would have been useful. Oleg seemed to get pretty sick of it eventually, and elect not to post as often in the Ubi forums anymore. Most of what he did post here around that time just resulted in more people piling on with the accusations and flames.

EXACTLY

simhq doesn't make money from the slop or do they? I don't think UBI wants to BAN the slop.

To tell you the truth with some of the stuff over here I would post rarely too if I were Oleg. Who needs to have there character bsmirched and a virtual new reamed everytime they log on. I have come to the conclusion that we simmers...ESPECIALLY we IL2/FB simmers are basically a spoiled rotten lot. Great guys for the most part but spoiled rotten. I listen to other folks from other sims on other forums talking up the virtues of thier sim of choice and yet we here act like this is the worst thing out sometimes. Now that I am getting into the FMB I can REALLY see just how totally mind blowing this simis. Nothing can compare to it in offline otr online play. Thisa is the only thing I have ever done for more than 6 months that I wasnt bored with after a while. Right now..(of course this could change but I doubt it anytime soon) I could do this everyday for several hours a day at least and not be bored....if I throw in the forum activity then it could actually be a full time thing....almost 24/7....and I just ENJOY it..... D@MMIT!!! I gotta eat though..LMAO....and oh yeah...baby needs a new pair of shoes...LOL

Its sad oleg posts more at simhq then his own boards, there really no difference in simhq and here same type of posts.

Just here fm discussion and graphs is called whining immediatly and mods lock the whole thread instead of removing the spammers in the thread.

At simhq people actually have discussions and they are not locked.
