Hopefully when the Pacific fighters forum is moved to the General/PF/46 forum and the BOB SOW forum started, Oleg will have some progress new for us.

Uh, the SoW forum was started and stopped months ago, so hopefully Ubi's forums won't have any bearing on news for us. I check the SimHQ forum quite regually too (hint, hint) as do thousands of other customers of 1c. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Chivas, you got inside info?? Cough it up, we're getting needy here.

No Slap I have no information, just guessing. I remember talk about releasing info about SOW in May 2006 when UBI annouced the release of BOB by the end of 2006. Now that Oleg hopes to have BOB released by the end of 2007, I assume that he will start releasing info this coming May. This will give Ivan plenty of time to move the Pacific fighers forum posts to the General forum and start the BOB SOW forum. This would be a perfect time for Oleg to have the first post in the new forum and show a few new screenshots. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I've been waiting patiently for BOB since it was first announced in 2003/2004 with a release date of the end of 2005. Ilya fudged that up with Pacific Fighters/PE-2 which delayed BOB until the end of 2006. Now Il-2 1946 has delayed BOB until the end of 2007. I'm really hoping someone doesn't pull IL-2 Korea out of their a**/err hat and delay BOB SOW once again.

Its great they made some extra monies with the IL-2 engine, but I would have prefered flying air combat with the more advanced SOW engine. Heck, SOW "The Med" would probably be coming this fall if we had been flying BOB already. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Chivas, I agree 100%. Stop the milking of Il2 and move on. There are already lots of planes in Il2 and has been for a long time. Move on with SoW and at least start showing some progressed screens and vids. Kind of sad that new info on Ubi's forums is 90% the competitions product. But its all we got to keep the conversation going.

On the bright side...a 2007 BOB SOW should be more advanced than a 2005 BOB SOW. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Oleg wouldn't personally have to post news. He could get someone that works for him to do it.

With the late release of IL-2 1946 in North America, we won't see to much on BOB until the accountants feel that sales have peaked. You can't have to much hype on a new sim until sales of your last drop off. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
