The end of the year 1942 is near for my old battlered U-85(VIIB).The 1943 was a terrible year in the Atlantic for boths,Germans and Allied.
I have never before sail in the game at this time of the war.
My question is about SHIII historical reproduction of the next details:

-Are allied DD and escorts equipped with Hedgehog?
-One ton depth charges are reproduced in the game?
-"Fido" homing torpedos are carried by enemy planes?
-The enemy intercept U-Boots transmission and know his position with H/F D/F "Huff-DuFF"?
-Enemy descipraghe U-Boots trasmissions via decoded Enigma(B-Barra)?
-The emissions of the Metox and others are easy tracked and utilised by the allied to localize the U-boot?
-Are Hunter Killer groups reproduced in the game?

Yes, the start of the time of all dangers.

Danelov I can't answer all your questions, but can you:

1. Yes, Hedgehogs are modelled in SH3.
2. Don't know about one ton charges, I've never found a reference to them, or any size of charge.
3. No, no homing torpedo's are launched from enemy planes, just 'iron' bombs.
4. I'm fairly certaion that sending messages can attract the enemy, thus demonstrating 'Huff Duff'.
5. Not sure
6. Not sure
7. Hunter Killer groups as in enemy ships? well, you can find a couple of DD's together, if that constitues a hunter killer group.

Hope that helps, I'm sure other forum members will add their comments. Who knows, what isn't in SH3 could well be in SH4!

Hunter Killer goups are in the game. I'm using GW1.1 I'm not siure about the stock game, actually. In GW1.1 you will meet ASW hunter killer groups, 4 destroyers, 2 light cruisers, 2 Frigates. I've met that one in the Irish Sea.
