Right now I have IL-2FB standalone and PF standalone. I'm trying to get everything as a merged install. I do not have the Aces expansion pack. I now realize that I will probably have to buy IL-2FB+Aces. Which one of these should I buy and whats the diff.

I have PF retail version and IL-2FB downloaded version installed now. I'm sure that the IL-2FB downloaded version will probably have to go away, right?

IL-2 Forgotten Battles: Ace Expansion Pack is the add on that followed the release of IL-2 Forgotten Battles. It is required to have the merged install with Pacific Fighters.

IL-2: Forgotten Battles Gold Pack contains both the orginal IL-2 Forgotten Battles and the add on Ace Expansion Pack.

There have been reported problems with patching and AEP installation with the download version of IL-2 Forgotten Battles. From my limited experience, its a dice roll at best. You may want to check locally for these items, as many retail stores have them at reduced prices.

Thanks Steve_v,
I went ahead and ordered the "Gold pack" from Ubisoft. I haven't been able to find it locally.
