View Full Version : Difficulty the only drawback.

I love these games, except for one small item...can you make it harder? Or at least add a difficulty adjuster to the next one. The running and climbing is awesome (sometimes it gets a little fidgety with the camera and where he decides to leap to, but it has been steadily improving in each game) as is the combat, but from the very beginning there is nothing standing in your way. You maul the groups of 4 guards that come at you and then the rest run. I feel like Enzio could be dropped onto a battlefield and kill everyone. I like the fact that you feel like this all powerful assassin, but the guards are almost more of an annoyance than an actual deterrent. Maybe some kind of wanted system like GTA has with patrols coming after you or hunting the streets. It would be cool to feel like I actually had to fight my way into some place, not just stroll in and slaughter the front gate guard so the rest will turn tail.

Many are bothered by the simplicity. I don't mind it as much. I saw a thread where one guy was saying they should never stop coming and each time they should send waves of more guards that get tougher each time until YOU'd have to run instead of them. That wouldn't work though because when will we loot from their bodies for supplies? By the time you get back (if you've escaped) the bodies will have probably disappeared.

I like the idea of a bounty though.

What they need to do, is make arrows/bullets/crossbow bolts as deadly to ezio as they are to the guards. THAT would make things hard. Especially where stealth is vital.
