i got interested when in one thread i was reading people started saying which language they speak, but it was WAY off topic so, here is one where its ON topic http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Im from Australia: first language... english
thats if the rest of the world calls aus english english!
(yeah, we say mate! but not through our noise...alright, SOME of us do, but the rest of us call them bogans!)

I'm from the Netherlands, which means my first language is ofcourse Dutch. However, I'm also capable of speaking english, german and a bit french. Besides that I can say some things in latin.

and yes, people from The Netherlands do seem to out weigh just about everyone else at the moment, could be to do with the time zones... don't know how, as Australia is completely opposite to europe and the US!

From Faroe Islands! Speak Faroese, Danish, English and a bit German and Icelandic. Ah... also a little (very little) French and Latin. Oh yeah... must not forget Norwegian and swedish... they're quite relative to Danish!

P.S. Maybe around five words in Japanese too!

I'm from Curaao (the middle and largest of the three islands off the north western coast of Venezuela (we're part of the Dutch kingdom).

Main language is Papiamentu. I can speak perfect English, darn good Dutch, average Spanish, bad French and horrible Latin.

a lot of different places, I am from uk, and have lived in the same village for all 15 years of my life, so it is odd to here about all theses people who "born in india live in america".
I speak english, gave up on french and german (sorry) and am trying to whip myself into learing esparanto.
