Where could I get such drivers? Someone mentioned they might exist.

AFAIK they dont make xp drivers for sidewinder products , although I believe that XP should autodetect your joysick as a sidewinder type and install drivers for it- old drivers and win XP solutions offered here if struggling

good luck

The problem is not really drivers but the software. This one won't install on XP. I am talking about Precision Pro (non FFB)

However, there is a program called joytokey, which maps any possible joystick and assigns keypresses and stuff for it - another one would be software called RBJoy - both of these don't cost a dime and can be used for configuring that joystick. On top of this you can do cool things that weren't normally possible with M$ control software, for example map mouse on POV hat...

thanks for the joystick program info!

And yes, the Gameport SW PPro with FFeedback works in XP (altho I haven't tried it in SP2). Not as´well as it did in win98, but still.
Just remember to calibrate the thing in windows.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif

XP will run on first generation Sidewinders, but it will not allow all the key mapping and settings.
