View Full Version : Ezio's Voice

I've recently seen a lot of comments on youtube and elsewhere that say that Ezio's ilatian accent is unbearably fake, or something like that.

I was wondering if anyone who knows more of what the typical Italian accent could confirm if it's really terrible, or just kinda like when American people hear this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...WqtM&feature=related (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QBoEbjWqtM&feature=related).

My opinion is that Ezio's accent is indeed like Jensens: It's a little cheezily dramatic, but it's still awesome.

He sounds like my Italian cousin when he tries to speak English, so it's good enough for me. For me, as long as I can recognise what the accent is, it's fine for me. If it sounded like a French accent, that would be problem.

I like his voice, and now that it's deeper, it sounds even cooler!!!!

It sounds italian enough.
Also, it's Youtube, random people with lots of time(jobless bums, lol) comment there for no reason a lot...

Also, Jensen's voice is....very soft...as if air is speaking and the accent is american...unlike Ezio... let's take a dialog "Mario Auditore led me here" he says it like--> "Maari-o Ow-dee-tore-eh led me hay-er"

A friend of mine, who has never played AC, watched the E3 trailer(extended) with me and told me that the accent sounded very good and was perfect."

Cheers Roger Craig Smith! lol.

It's quite realistic actually. You shouldn't pay attention to the Youtubers. They're probably the same people who accused Alta´r's VA of being fake.

At Roger Craig's Smith panel at the London MCM Expo last year, he was saying how they had an Italian women directing him and they ensured every little pronunciation was perfect... Despite Roger not being Italian, the voice acting team did their upmost to ensure that it sounded as genuine as possible. I've heard a couple of Italians say it's pretty decent, too.

Ezio's accent is over exaggerated, a normal italian speaking English, while the accent still being clearly recognisable, isn't usually that thick.
