View Full Version : If I see one more steppe, I'm going to scream...

I'm kind of hoping to take a break from the monotony of the Eastern Front, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good BoB/Normandy offline campaigns for a Luftwaffe player (particularly Focke-Wulfs).

It doesn't necessarily have to be dynamic, but I'd really like a decent-length campaign.

You can use the Lowengrin DCG utility to create dynamic BoB / Western Front campaigns, you can set the planes you want to fly and a lot more.

A word of warning though, unless you have a top of the range PC you will need to lower some of the air intensity settings.

I've got a high-end system (X1900XT, Opteron 165, etc.), but I've never had much luck actually getting the DCG to...well, work....any other alternatives?

You can try my campaign...its not exactly what you were looking for but it is FW190 (A-8 to be exact) and you aren't on the steppe anymore. Kurland is a bit more interesting with its fall and winter schemes...and lots of water too.

I tell ya, Battle over Europe is an awesome addon. It can be had at www.justflight.com (http://www.justflight.com)

But the user made campaigns at Mission4Today are good also, and they are free.

I am afraid that I cannot remember where I got them from but I typed in a few searches in Google and downloaded a Hurri campaign set in Singapore, a P40 campaign set in North Africa, a Gladiator campaign set in N Africa and a campaign that starts as Gladiators in Greece and ends as Hurris in N Africa (following career of Pattle). I have a mid range PC and none cause trouble. BTW, the Greece scenery is gorgeous.

A little further down this page is someone offering a high quality N Africa campaign for LW pilots http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m/1641095345 or just follow the links from the Ubi site to see what campaigns are being offered free.

One you can pay for is http://www.pluswave.eu/html/eroh.html

I should probably mention I have IL-2 1946 (4.07)....if that makes any difference.
