Hi, I had for some time ago, bought "IL2 Ultimate Pack".
The pack contains IL2: Forgotten Battles, IL2: Ace Expension Pack, Pacific Fighters and Pe-2 Peshka.

And I'm thinking of bying IL2: 1946 too.
And therfore I wonder if it is possible to get ALL the games in the IL2 Ultimate pack to work with the 1946?
I know that 1946 already includes every game except Pe-2 Peshka....but I want that game to run too.

So my question is: Is it possible to get all the games working together? To get IL2 FB, Ace Expension, Pacifc Fighters, Pe-2 Peshka and IL2: 1946 to work together?

Every help wil be very appriciated

Thank you

Buy the IL2 Sturmovik: 1946 DVD and you will have everything from the entire series under one install. It even comes with the scripted campaigns from IL-2 Sturmovik.

There used to be a download version that was just Pe-2 (4.05m) and the final two addons that brought the series up to 4.07m. The download was from UbiSoft France I believe, and it had the BoontyBox download manager that many people here swore was malware. I don't remember the price of this download once converted to dollars. Maybe you'd save a few bucks if you tracked down the link to that package, if it is even still available. I've read a few posts by people who paid for their download and didn't get a key for it, etc., and then couldn't get any customer support, so personally I'd just go get the DVD and avoid any risk and inconvenience.

Ok I see. THANK YOU for the help Spectre1968 and Skycat_2!

I hope you are right that Pe-2 Peshka is included in 1946, because in the Ubisoft shopping description of 1946 it says something else:

"The previous games of the brand are also included in the bonus: IL-2 Sturmovikô: Forgotten Battles, Ace Expansion Pack, Pacific Fighters."

It says nothing about Pe-2...
and therfore I hope that when I play 1946...I will have all the other games from IL2 Ultimate pack running too? If not, How can I get Pe-2 Peshka to run with 1946?

If I have missed something, like that 1946 actually include Pe-2 Peskha, please tell me.

I know that you have already said that it is included, but i'm only curious, and want very strong proof's before I let go http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Every help will still be very appriciated

Thank you again

It says nothing about Pe-2... It says nothing about Sturmoviks over Manchuria (a.k.a. version 4.06) either, but that too is included. There used to be a link to the 1946 readme around here, but I can't find it anymore. The readmen mentions the paid add-ons included. Also, when the game starts up, the loading screen lists them all: Forgotten Battles, Ace Expansion Pack, Pacific Fighters, PE-2 Peshka, Sturmoviks over Manchuria, and 1946.

My copy of the 1946 DVD has four flyable Pe-2s, two flyable Pe-3s, and two campaigns under USSR: "*Pe-2 Front Lines" and "*Pe-2 Navy Bomber." And the loading screen has logos and plates for "IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles / Pacific Fighters / Ace's Expansion Pack / P-2 Peshka / Sturmoviks Over Manchuria / '46."

To be blunt, the advertising copy has errors. Somebody posted yesterday that the box says all the previous games are on the bonus disk, and that is untrue. The big 'merged' install is is on DVD 1, and the bonus DVD has a video tour of 1C's offices in Moscow, development vids of the upcoming Storm of War, some action videos by online aerobatic teams, and some folders of miscellaneous photographs of trade shows, competitions, etc. The aircraft guide (in .PDF format) is on both DVDs and it will be placed right to your game's folder when you install.

Edit: And I was just thinking that some confusion may come from the fact that Pe-2 was released by itself, but was considered part of the 'Russian market only' trilogy that was developed by Russian Rocket Group. Pe-2 alone wasn't much bang for the buck either, and it later got rolled into the "'46/Sturmoviks Over Manchuria" digital download that was released by UbiSoft France. I think at that point these three RRG add-ons officially became a single expansion product.

This is why I love the new 1946 DVD: it eliminates all this nonsense of collecting scattered products and figuring out how to install and patch them correctly.

Thanks a lot for the offer of joining, RS.Wedge!

But there's a problem. To sign up and be a member of the IL2 clan, you must be at least 20 years, right?

The problem here is that i'm unfortunatly not old enough...

So if the age limit is 20, I cannot sign in because i'm not old enough... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

But thank you anyway for your great offer, RS.Wedge! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Thank you
Stuntman

Previous versions had an option to join ubi.com's server. It looks like that has been axed.

Hyperlobby has always been an extremely popular alternative, and it hosts a multitude of sims. The link is in my sig.

If it were up to me I think that an exception should be made.

After all Stuntmanknut has got sheep in his sig pic. Sheep I say! That has got to count for something.

Hey gang, does anyone know if IL2'46 supports the TrackIR4pro's six ranges of motion? My understanding is the the earlier versions only support fixed position viewpoint movement as with the mouse.

Hit the Essentials link in my sig and scroll to Hyperlobby. Install the HL client.

No it does not.. it just does the regular TIR stuff. BOB will support 6DOF however. While 6DOF is not implemented in this sim.. I woulds still fly this sim without 6DOF than ay other outof the current crop on the market that have it.
