Have him check the contents of settings.ini in his Users\<pilotname> folder, and see if the following lines are in there:
[HotKey gunner]

Good Luck!

sometime you have to turn off the auto pilot. you need to map a key for it

Most likely the AI is still controlling the gun even though he is in the seat. Like said you gotta turn off autogunner.

fooltrottel... I passed on your words, he's reinstalling, and will call me later, I was walking him through the control keys to match my hot keys, so I could help him catch up to my level in the game over the phone, I think I know what happened, some times he dosen't pay attention, and I think when he assigned the gunner/ pilot toggle key, he missed and put it in the fire ( mouse left key)! just a guess!! Ritter and Havok... I'm not sure what you mean, in my game, when I toggle back and forth, the auto pilot dose it's own thing automaticaly. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Unless this guys mind is exactly like the current AI, me thinks this is not an Autpilot issue http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif

One can change behaviour of the Autopilot:
- One settings is: the seat you leave will be automatically set to Autopilot on, the one you enter will automatically switch off Autopilot.
- The other setting will do no such thing, it will keep you control the pilot and aircraft, and only pressing 'A' (for Autopilot on/off) will it enable you to control the guns with the mouse.

The control is called 'Toggle Level Autopilot', and does not need to be set each flight, or each session. Once switched, it'll remain its status as long as it is switched again...

AI stands for 'Artificial Intelligence' and is used for all things happening in game in which no human is involved as regards to controlling the object.

Its behaviour is coded in game...

So, when your gunner is on autopilot and it fires away at any target in or out of sight, it's AI... when you switch to your gunner, depending on how your 'toggle level autopilot' is set, your aircraft may suddenly be controlled by AI! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

For offline play, each and every moving object apart from your crate is AI....

Instead of Level Autopilot, I thought it was Autopilot Automation... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
