You seem to be on an airplane - http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif - on a british airplane.

Whats with the flying merchie in the upper right corner lol?

That's the Star Wars Battle Cruiser , and at the Helm is none other than Marvin The Martian coming to shoot you with his Raygun.

Hmmmmm, you've really got up someones nose. Maybe they are just playing tag, or maybe you are in for the mother of all DC'ings

Excellent screen shot!!

Like Hueywolf said I would not like to be under water when they find you http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Good Lord, man!!! It looks like you kicked the mother of all bee's nests!

The ship in the top right corner is an optical illusion because of the haze blending into the sky.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif Good one!

About your plane comment... I'm guessing you saw the same thing I did; What looks like a plane in the center of the pic? Its probably a ship but there isn't a visible wake around it. I know it's not, but it looks alot like the silouhette of a P38, so my flight-sim habits had me doing a double-take. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

There's no wake because a depth charge routine is built in to AI. Ever notice how one DD hardly moves and the other does all the work, then they swap roles? That is because ASDIC couldn't be used at faster than 8kts, So on would do all the pinging and direct traffic, they'd swap after a while because another contact would give them your position. It looks like the one in the middle is sitting, directing the others who are just now getting into position. I'd hazard a guess that the guest of honour is under the centre of the circle they seem to be making.

Good observations there. You know, I didn't know that & probably would never have noticed that since I disabled camera view some time ago to officially & honestly boost my difficulty level.

Nevermind what I said about planes. I realized you were just talking about his forum name and the fact he has a British flag for an avatar. You'll have to forgive me, I'm tired and not too observant at the moment (been staying up way too late too many nights in a row) so I mistook what you said to relate to what I was thinking at the time. http://images.bravenet.com/common/images/smilies/duh2.gif

@ Stingray. I only discovered this by never trusting my sonar guy. I always hear somebody else but they never show up. This is the DD to sneak under, but be @ max depth, use your kt meter & slow to 1kt. If he doesn't hear you, he hands it over to the other. By then you'll be far enough away the number two won't hear you, and number one will be going back over to where you were.
It doesn't always work, but it has the last three patrols for me, and I consider escaping four corvettes as being pretty good

nice clear day!..

surface and use your deck gun!...

@ stingray

Not sure what you are talking about, mate.
No excuse nescassary.

The foto is made out of a plane, a british one because there is no AA fire. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

If our hero Kaleun is in this plane shooting pictures of this U-boat hunting he has to be a traitor.

I can follow your P-38 silouette thing, but where there any british P-38 (http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3897/is_200307/ai_n9283659)?

The U.S. lend-leased lots of different aircraft to different countries. I wasn't sure if England ever got any P38s, so I just did some digging. They did order some but after they received a couple of "castrated" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P-38_Lightning) models for inspection they soon decided to cancel their orders.

ye well they DCed me to hell...i was at 200metres and the only way to maintain that deph without sinking further was to go at full speed, so it was hard, but i survived, i dont know how the hell i did but lol, yes planes where there too...it was hell
