anybody using sli configuration and if so is there any improvements in the fps. Just tying to decide if worth while to wait for the n-force 4 boards or go ahead and get the n-force 3

You'll be waiting awhile for nForce 4 SLI, maybe until January '05. Reference boards have only just gone out to reviewers even though Asus Tek claims they have released their SLI board for nForce 4.

Anandtech testing of SLI claims performance of 2 6600 GT SLI cards not quite equal to a single 6800 GT or Ultra. Only benefit is less expensive upgrade path. So if you go with SLI, get the 6800 GT.

I have the MSI K8N Neo2 with a 3500+ Winchester. Very fast, stable system. Prices for 939 CPU's 3500+ or lower have come way down to reasonable levels. Good luck.

I can't wait for the day when I can put an "AMD64" case badge on my rig!

I'm always one generation behind in PC technology. I just upgraded from Duron to Athlon XP.
I'd love to have 64 running my rig.

I've been paying attention to 64, and I think it might be wise to avoid the socket 939 models. It's just an unsubstantiated hunch of mine.

The 754 models get better reviews, especialy in the relm of memory managment.

I do not think the increase in fps is worth the extra cost of a second 6800gt card.
