if you say Lomac is the worst you have ever played it either because you are too lazy to even give it a chance and just was frustrated that you couldnt master it in a day,
or you've only played very few games and therefore have to choose one.... Lomac is probably one of the best Modern time flight sims there is!

anyway, the worst ive ever tried was probaby CFS3. had been plying IL2 for a long time when i was given a chance to play it... the graphic just turned me off instantly and i shut it down after not very long.

B-17 Bomber for the Intellivision was even worse than F-15 Strike Eagle for the Atari 800.....

CFS3 without a doubt...

Another vote for CFS3 (never tried 2, and CFS1 didn't impress me much either).

"First Eagles" or whatever it was.. WW1 sim that didn't cut the mustard. I'm glad it was only 14 bucks to download. I'd of cried myself to sleep if it had been more than that....

Dunno, no flight sims that i played ever felt bad when i played them. Of course now when i compare Fighter Ace 3 to IL-2, i can see how it is nondeserving of the title Simulation.
And LOMAC is pretty good once you get the hang of the targeting systems, to bad the F-15 missiles are porked up.

CFS3 without any shadow of a doubt. Truly awful yet it held onto its price on the shelves in the UK for an incredibly long time. Testimony to the power of the Microsoft name I suppose.

Lock On is a great sim just somewhat work intensive in the cockpit. I was not a big fan of the F-15 section of the game (I prefer hanging onto the other guys tail and filling him full of lead-would John Wayne have taken a BVR shot? I think not pilgrim!) but I thought the A-10 was very good and the use of terrain masking combined with pop-up attacks is a real skill.

If you don't like Lock On then give Black Shark a wide berth. I'm still wrestling with the basics of just flying and landing the darned thing! Bloody good sim though and due to get better with upcoming A-10C and AH-64D expansions.

I apologise in advance if English is not your first language, but I can't make head nor tail of what you are trying to articulate.
Any chance you can get a literate English speaker to translate? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

CFS 3 sucked big time for me too http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Not everyone will remember the "other" 'Birds of Prey". 1992 Argonaut Games "BoP" allowed you to fly 40 horribly looking planes that flew all the same -you could roll a B-52 like a BaE Hawk- in a marvelous "wonder woman" view over an equally marvelous completely plain green scenario.

And that was all. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

The only other sims I fly are Silent Hunter and Red Orchestra... I'm fussy about my flight sims and IL2 is the only one. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Although I known many to stray onto other sims, like LockOn, LOMAC.. only to return to 'true flying' of IL2. This says volumes about this sim.

Some of the early '90s jet sims.
Can't blame me for not remembering some of those.

Hey at least it came on a 3 incher rather than a 5.

I remember. Still have it taking up valuable shelf space. You want it?

Probably EF2000, though to be fair I'm biased against jet sims and it may have been that the computer I was using at the time contributed markedly to my poor impressions of the game.

It was pretty hard to figure out what was going on in EF2000, but once you did it was a very good simulation. Their 'wargen' campaign management programming was first class, with lots of aircraft flying their own missions. It was fun just watching all the ai doing their thing.

I kinda liked EF2000, but my worst would possibly be Janes Attack Squadron. After playing (and enjoying) the WWII Fighters game for so long I really was looking forward to Attack squadron. I'm not sure if I had too high expectations at the time or what, but it lacked something and I never really got into it.

First Eagles. I was so excited about a new WW1 sim, I bought it straight away. But the flight models and AI felt all wrong, I shouldn't have been able to shoot down 6 planes on my first mission. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Rise of Flight

I think thats why we love IL2 because of the way the aircraft fly it was in my eyes the true golden age of flight each plane from that period looks butiful and deadly at the same time. If you listen to or read anything writen nay a WW2 piolot or anyone that has been up in a old two seeter turbo prop thay all say that athay are a joy to fly and i think that IL2 reflects that also li2 has captuerd well in my eyes the caos that was air combat and dog fighting at the time.I think thats why we keep on coming back .thats whay we love it.

I like first eagles, its not realistic, but the fun factor is there.. and IMHO that counts..

LOMAC kicks ! if you learn it and actually take the time to get better at it, its a lot of fun too..

I think for me the worst FS i had was saber ace... it was just lacking so much for me... but i know others love it.

Im prob the only one who actually loved Novalogic's F-22 when it came out in 97 or 98... i stayed up for hours playing that online.. but that wasnt close to being anything realistic.

"F-22 Lightning II". By the time you finish the campaign, you would've achieved something like 200+ kills (that's realistic http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif). The only saving grace was the final mission where you escort Air Force One. I shot it down and killed the president.

CFS3 was pretty bad

but my vote has to go to the jets and choppers in battlefield 'nam, the only saving grace was the music on the radio fitted to all aircraft and AFV

I've always said that trying to get the hang of LOMAC was THE most frustrating thing I've ever done, but I did get decent with it eventually, and it was worth the effort.

If you guys hated CFS3, you shoulda tried the masochistic excercise called CFS2. I worked steadily on that thing nearly a yr, gettting all the hundreds of user fixes I could get, but it just wouldn't work worth a damn. Had a few good points, especially with the user made adons, but it was never even close to finished when MS released it, sort of like all their other software.

One hit in the wingtip lost nearly all your roll control, bombers acted like fighters, they only dropped one bomb at a time, way too much pc crap. I spent 6 mos making a campn and hardly anyone could get the thing to work.

I have minimized my purchasing of anything MS since, but that's kinda hard to do. Never bought anymore of thier sims though.

Most of us here have flown some "not well made" ones.
There are others besides CFS3 that that claim this title. I had tried a few that weren't very good, but their names escape me for now.

CFS3.

First sim I went out and bought. I didn't know any better, played it for several weeks, and it always felt like something wasn't quite right. Thank god I found the Il-2 demo.
