Extremely Mint work!

Man, I've gotta say, that pic and the others under your sig are some of the best screenshots I've ever seen.

Your technical control of the medium is impressive enough, but to then use it to create such vivid, immersive ambiences/atmospheres, that's gotta be some kind of art.

And yeah, that's an amazing looking skin from vpmedia too.

Thanks for all that.

That's a fantastic picture, Orheim!
I have one of the other pictures from your sig as wallpaper at work. (Maybe it's Olli's) I have to reconsider that wallpaper now..

But just to be difficult: Would a Zero ever close that far in on an enemy carrier? Wouldn't that be completely suicidal?

Thanks mate, I've made it the OH's desk top. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Thanx guys...

@Skarphol. So true LOL... let's just imagine he just popped up. I would say that a Japanese closing in on a US carrier would meet a hell of a lot more flak than seen here too.. but I pledge the artist's freedom--- it would be too crowded for decent looking shot with all those flak puffs, and .. well... looks cooler with a carrier up close than far away. I tried that in my Akagi serieshttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The zero could be quite a long way from the carrier, but simply seen through a long lens - perspective can be wonderfully flexible...

Absolutely Fabulous, O! Actually, compared to 1944-45, the density of flak was not heavy in HORNET's task force. ENTERPRISE and SOUTH DAKOTA were the only ships in that battle with quad 40s and they were not with HORNET. The prodigious gunfire of the Swedish (plug here, O) Bofors filled the sky with black puffs (40mm rounds fuzed to airburst so misses, in theory, wouldn't hit other ships). Here is a photo of HORNET as she was being anviled by Kates and hit from above by Vals---a perfect coordinated attack. Only one criticism: HORNET's deck was clean when the SHOKAKU/ZUIKAKU strike went in on her, and she didn't carry TBDs in this battle, she had TBF-1s.

Where did you get the Yorktown Class ship from?
