View Full Version : Stuck on a tower.

I'm at the part where you're Altair right after you get out of the animus 2.0 for the first time and start having hallucinations. I chase the guy and he enters the tower and it shows that I have to climb to the top.

The tower is on the corner, so I jump on the ledge of the wall and climb up to that little balcony. There is a door w/ a frame and the ledge of the balcony. There is also a piece of wood hanging out that I obviously have to get atop to continue going up. For some reason I just can't do it. I tried standing on the ledge of the balcony perpendicular to it, and jumping across, but that just gets me to the other side of the balcony. I tried just climbing the door, but he can't climb higher than the top frame of the door. Am I doing something wrong?

This is a HUGE problem for a lot of people.

Jump on the ledge and sit directly in front of the door.

Turn to face left or right. Don't face the wall or the beam.

While facing left or right, you simply hit the jump button and he'll reach up and grab the beam.

Did a lot of people not get this viewpoint in AC1? Because it's the exact same method.

Actually I'm not surprised. I got stuck too. In AC1 there is an iron ring above the door to assist in the climb. In the dream there is not. And I ended up finally getting there by jumping towards the beam from the left balcony rail, lol.

Probably just luck after all my jumps http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

another way is this. you jump on either the right or left side ledges. then face the wall. then run up the wall. then quickly move the joystick left or right (depend on which side of the ledge you are on) and press jump. this is the same jump method used in that assassin tomb for that roman legion assassin

Huh, that's interesting. I didn't think Altair would have any different abilities than in AC1 during the dream. I suppose that makes sense because of Desmond...very good.

I didn't even think of what I was doing, I'm so used to climbing things in AC 1/2 I didn't have a problem.
