Mission and Campaign builders are anxious to read about the upcoming SOW BOB Mission Builder tools. We've read all kinds of things, but heard nothing about the Mission Builder.

1) Will the BOB SOW have triggers, events, random events, and logic tools built into the mission builder?

2) Will we have logic tools to use along with Comms for On-the-fly instructions, which will provide tactical elements for management of the AI?

3) Will the mission builder be at least as competent as the MSFT CFS2 or Jane's WW2 Fighters?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Great posts!

I play board games that are heavily depended on air-to-air battle results. This game would be perfect for gaining the proper (detailed) air combat results for those board games if the Mission Builder would also allow each pilot a skill rating (green to ace, etcetera) and a detailed after battle report stating wounded/kills scored for each pilot.

I play board games like Luftwaffe (Avalon Hill), Fire in the Sky (MMP), as well as others where we have been porting the air battle results from Over the Reich, Achtung-Spitfire! and Whistling Death (all very detailed board games covering air combat). The ability to have the computer run both sides while we sat back and enjoyed watching our boys do us proud would sure speed things up here. :-) but, we'd require a more detailed after battle report for role playing each squadron involved.

MysticPuma - that is an outstanding sig. Nice composition.

FMB QMB aspect of BoB is a HUGE question mark - any reply from the developer would be great.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Drum,

Check out Scorched Earth - it is perfect for role-playing detailed campaigns, using FB+PF to resolve the actual combat. You can even fly the coops with your buddies, and you get detailed action reports and a dynamically updated battlefield according to the details what actually happened in the mission!

However notice that No. 1 and 2 of nearmiss question are by far more important issues for the offline war than QMB one. Really, if these are not implemented I don't know what to think about the revolutionary BOB...Revolutionary it's perhaps a big word as I learnt that triggers were already implemented in some other (and older) airwar games.

Capt Eric Brown says: "I found in general the default joystick settings tended to be oversensitive. With my recommended settings it will give people a real feeling of how they actually flew."

Throughly recommend Winkle Brown's memoir "Wings On My Sleeve" really is a must have book.
