Are the Chinese subtitles at the end of the clip swear words? If not, they oughtta be.

I've only been through Kai Tak a few times (Hong Kong's old airport, the one with the REALLY exciting approach) but every time I did there was a Chinese airliner in bits in the harbour.

wow. Guess Kai Tak is the airfield they use on pilot`s that want to prove something...

Y`know when I went to London from Leicester for the first time (specifically richmond, surrey), I couldn`t get over how low the aircraft were. I must`ve really shown up as an `outsider` in london cos I was the only staring up after every aircraft passing by.

I kept thinking that this was a disaster waiting to happen. what about safety?

Kai Tak has just shown me that what i thought was dangerous was actually safe. Kai Tak`s approaches and landings are OUTRAGEOUS! that`s just waiting for a major disaster to happen!!!

Nice footage of Kai Tak, but nothing like sitting in the bleachers at Shea Stadium and having jets take off inches over your head. See the stadium shot in "Men in Black", La Guardia Aiport is way to close.

I live on the outskirts of Heathrow, not far from Twickenham. Depending on the time of day various aircraft do turns over my house (always on the take off leg)
obviously the landings are all long and slow

not Hong Kong but near enough for me as i type this i can hear jet noise in the back ground
