Hi all!

I've been reading these forums for quite a while, finally decided to register. I am originally a jetfighter simmer (Falcon4,...) so flying IL2 was interesting and getting in my head that lead pursouit is usefull was quite difficult (with jets you can easily stay on someone's 6 with lag pursuit, but here people just get out of range if you do that).
I was flying offline for a long time and recently went online. I mostly fly on SkiesOfValor (since I dont have TrIR I need externals to have some SA, since me and the little cap on the joystick dont get along http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ).
It is a very diffrent experiance online for me- boom and zoom is the name of the game mostly and the booring part of getting to 2k altitute is pretty much compulsory if you want to survive. (just like was in RL). But its nice that planes go down faster than in SP, since you can snap controls and stuff like that.
I mostly fly blue side. I started blue for the firt time and now I cant stop- it seems that a special brand of people fly mostly blue, I cant explain it it just feels that way, and I feel that I have become one them, since I have an unexplainable need of riddling everything that doesnt have the letters FW or BF on it with bullets.
Favourite ride is Bf 109 (preferably the G6 one) or the 190 or the funky Ki-43 for some TnB fun (I love it when people think they can outturn it in a low level slow dogfight... = easy kill).

Still it looks like I have a lot to learn before I'll be able to shot down more bogeys then get shot down myself. I rarely get shot down "cheaply" but if the fight evolves into a dogfight I ussualy loose- the enemy cant get angles on me but neither can I so I ussualy just stall because I have no more energy left and hit the deck http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif. As far as BnZ goes, I'm getting used to it, but it angers me that people steal your kill after they see that your victim's engine is dead http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif or people that shuldershoot or dive down on your target when you allready have it ready to be shot down. To my supprise, when you really need help in a dogfight there's nobody to be found to help you. It's a common sight that 4 friendlies are chasing a lone smoking bogey near the deck in the middle of nowhere while the rest of the guys are outnumbered somewhere else.

Still MP is fun so I'm looking forward of seeing you thrugh my sight http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Welcome to the forums, LovroSL! You seem to have a fair grasp of the important stuff, but if you've got questions, some of the guys here are fountains of wisdom.

Welcome here! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

(Not all online stuff has that 'go for the smokey thing' ...
Just tonight I was in a Coop mission, in an A20, heading home, jumped by an FW190, radioed home base for help ... 'negative' was the answer... but, out of the blue came a fellow A20, and he chased that 190, and downed it... )

Welcome LovroSL.

My roots are with Falcon too, actually with F-15 Strike Fighter, but that's another century. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

IL2 is back to Basic Combat Flight Manoeuvres. You're gonna enjoy it for sure. And here on the forum you are in good company.

yeah getting the jet mindset out of your head is hard. Can't tell you how many times I wanted to go afterburner and roll up and away out of the current plane od movement to repel a guns attack http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif with 230kph in a fw190 you can tell how that went... panickin and dropping the flaps didnt help either http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
