Is there anything in the works as far as unlocking the the US Torpedo Planes? Also, I think there was an anti-ship version of the B-25 which was torpedo capable. That would be nice.

The A-20 does carry torpedoes now. There's a A-20 mission with torpoes in my QDPFSMP mission pack (see link in my sig).

wish someone hack the game so we can put torpedos on Consairs or Hellcats. of course this isn't realistic but neither is PTO without carrier torpedo planes.
I also wonder if we see anymore PTO ships in the game.

I didnt think so...
p.s.
I have no idea who that guy is...

The B25 did pack a MK13 glide torpedo. The "J" model is pictured in a book I have with one.

The hellcat could carry one torpedo(on paper) Never really heard of instances of this happening though. Not sure about the sair. But why not?

Actually, that version of the 190 (F-8/R-14) DID see combat action in the Eastern Front attacking Soviet convoys.

so far i know it dodnt.
the planed Fw190F-8/R14 were still in testphase in Gotenhafen-Hexengrund end of 44 , and they never reached combatstatus

btw, TD+SI was an A-5 , sure a -/R14.

but hell, if you have other infos, unit and time of mission , share it with us

From what I gather it is near impossible to edit the game; however I would say two suitable planes for sticking a torp on would be the SBD5 and the DB3. Both of these are simple two man dive bombers, and the DB3 even looks nearly like the Jap torp aircraft of the period. Of course, both can be used from carriers....

From Revell AG

"In January/February 1945, equppied with the R14, the 2nd Group of KG 200 carried out single night attacks agains the British warships in Scapa Flow, using Stavanger as a base. When KG 200 was disbanded at the beggining of April 1945, the rest of the squadron came under direct command of the government of the Reich. Up until the Germans capitulated, the aircraft operated from Flensburg and were mostly deployed for overseas missions."

Apologies. It wasn't used in the Eastern Front as I thought. But as you can verify, it was definitelly used.

It's not something exactly new. The Italians had used the Centauro in the same way.

What about the 38?
I heard that the P-38 was modified to carry one fuel tank on a side, and a torpedo on the other, now i heard of this through *gasp* CFS2 about 3 years ago, but does anyone know if that ever had any real background to it?

Yep, if they have issues with grumman and can't add new planes they can still do a lot of other things...yes we might have to give up a little realism, but at this point thats ok with me and most I would think.
But Oleg is very "by the book", so that might be the sticking point!
Still they can add torps to the loadouts for the SBD's or the others (if enough room underneath)or add hooks to the B-25j and A20 so we can bring them back to the carrier and land.
Or they can make the AI Avenger flyable, heck I would even be willing to fly it from out side with no cockpit if needed, anything to get a flyable torpedo bomber in the game that can also land back on the carrier...

I found this:http://www.p-38online.com/images/torpedo.jpg

"One P-38 F was configured to carry torpedoes and was successfully tested. Both external fuel tank pylons were configured to each carry a torpedo. Most bombers were only able to carry one torpedo, and were slow and extremely vulnerable. The P-38 that was tested had no problems delivering the dummy torpedoes, and showed only a 16.7% speed loss (300 mph top speed). Equipped with two torpedoes, the maximum range was 1,000 miles. If the P-38 was equipped with one torpedo and one 310-gallon fuel tank, the range was increased to 2,160 miles. With a single drop tank, the speed loss was reduced to 12.6%. The test flight was described as very stable, and jumped slightly when the torpedoes were released. The tests were extremely successful, and the P-38 would be a first class torpedo bomber. However, all these tests were after the Battle of Midway, and the emphasis was beginning to shift away from torpedo bombers in favor of dive-bombers. Also, the P-38 was land based, and the range options were limited when compared to a torpedo bomber on an aircraft carrier which could attack targets not available to land based aircraft. The P-38 never made a combat torpedo attack."
