Good lord,I hope so,but I doubt it'll be done. I've taken some nice pics of the interior of the B-17. References are not that hard to find, but it takes a LOT of work to do the interior of such a large plane. Someone IS modelling a flyable B-24J and D,though. I hope they come through..../i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I wish I could say yes.. but my feeling is NO...

I think that they will hold it as a carrot
to encourage the future purchase of the BoB
sim, discussed.

Although it sure would be nice to give the allies
something a little more appropriate to do battle
in for bombing runs.

I went to the Randolph Air Show in San Antonio, Texas on Nov 01, 2003.
The Link below are some pictures of a B-17G. Have pictures of the cockpit...and other areas inside the aircraft.

No, the B-17 is nicer, and it takes more hits! Ha!

Actually, if you guys really want this modeled, get a team of modelers together and start building. I don't see how it's going to get built any other way.

Yup. Dead-on. Multiple positions require that. TB's and HE111's are probably why we waited so long on FB back in the day,

Hello guys;

I love the B-24 just as the B-17... The truth is that i want to see as much aircrafts as we can put on the Forgotten Battles game, if possible, most of them flyable (i'm sure that i'm not alone on this taught). However, think on the "Memphis Belle" movie... I love to see those P-51s scorting the flying fortress... Tell me, is there another scene of WWII related to air combat more famous than that? I don't think so... Well, just want to explain what all you should know, that the B-17 had a very important act on that war. I'm very glad that she is on the game, i just hope some good soul can expent more some time creating a cockpit, so we can put much bombs on the enemy :-)
Let's stay togheter... Let's ask for aircraft developers if they can help us on this task... Let's make everything possible to make the B-17 flyable just as B-24 and FW-200.

Thanks.

Speaking of B17's....they aren't All that Invulnerable to a committed attack by even a single Me262, as shown in this guncam clip:

I suppose it's a possibility, but the Mustang isn't even released yet. We should be a bunch of Happy Indianers when we get that!

I had the oppertunitie to tour a B-17g, and I have some expierience dabbling with 3d models. All I can say is, it's going to take the best modelers in a coordinated effort a very long time to pull it off.

We're talking about Pilot, Bombadier, and 7 gun stations, 10 guns total. I don't know if could fly and fight that with one jotstick, and a mouse?

The thought is still very entertaining.
