well i just messed about with the mission editor, i altered the single mission "Courageouse", I added 2 german destroyers and 2 heavy cuisers to intercept the courageouse and her 4 brit destroyer escorts head on, while i dived to 50 meteres and stayed at a safe distance while i watched the events on the external camera....

The battle that ensued was awsome!! those heavy cruisers really are er...heavy, they gave the british destoyers a kicking of a life time! they sank all 4 within minutes without the help of their own destroyer buddys (who were miles away taking pot shots.)
The courageous itself didnt stand a chance either, and ended up capsizing whilst it was engulfed in an inferno.

It was funny when one of the Brit DDs altered its course to ram a Gerry cruiser, then chickened out in the last 500 meters when it went into reverse (while it bridge was blown clean off the deck.)

I surfaced 1000 meters away from the victorious cruiser and it sent me a nice radio message to identify itself. Im gonna have to create an even bigger battle next time. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

If only there were battles like this in the campaign you could witness once in a while, (or even help out) there are no German tasks forces in the campaign that i can see. They should at least have recreated historic naval battles
as well as events like dunkirk and normandy.

You can add your battles to campaign http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif just next time when you'll be messing mess with the campaign scr file http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif. But remember the best procedure = save your campaign scr file in backup, enter SCR file in editor, add one sub that is "human controlled" (other wise you won't be able to save mission as "normal" and just be able to save as SCR (that will delete all anti-sub nets and minefields) and add your battles to the time you want to see them in campaign http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif, after that save mission, and open the file in editor, find the entry of the sub you've added, and delete that entry.

Have fun http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

And don't forget that when you can't change something in editor then change it with notepad http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

Wait till Hollywood 3 is released as it will cause more crew flying of ships without the Destruction of items.

i.e. In many parts a shell will cause crew to fly but not destroy item they belonged too untill a few further shots. The aim of this is so when you are deckgunning ships, the effects are better.

The ships will last longer in surface battles.

Sub will have smoldering smoke when struck by shells. Lots of tweaks to come as well as that.

I am currently trying to perfect oil slick effect without the fires but this is quite difficult. Look below for example. As you can see there is too much smoke which may cause lag so if I get rid of burning oil and just have oil then I would have cracked it.
