After hearing some German westerns, Hungarian horrors.....well you get the picture.
On top of that I watched some crazy cartoons synchronized on Croatian (my native).

Man that was fugley.

Subtitles FTW. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I don't mind reading at all... so a subtitled version of a movie is better to me than a movie with the lips moving out of sync.

Yeah most definitely. I would much rather read subtitles than watch a movie with the audio dubbed.

Original audio only, with one exception. Movies with Silvester Stalone I like to watch synced, I don't understand his english http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

In Norway, where I live, only movies for children are dubbed. Typically, the first of the Harry Potter-movies were dubbed, but the later ones were considered to be made for a more grown-up (12 years+) audience, and hence not dubbed. Dubbing movies for an adult audience in norway never happens.

My sister is married to an italian, and in Italy, allmost all foreign movies are dubbed. They claim that reading subtitles takes your focus away from the movie.

I don't agree. It takes about a second to read the text, and it certainly takes much of the 'feel' away from a movie when it is dubbed, so I think it's a bad thing. And you can learn a lot of foreign languages by listening, too.
