Sure looks like an awsome aircraft and the cockpit configuration sure looks interesting. Nice post

Sheesh, another "I want" post.

The Me-410 was an unmitigated failure for the Luftwaffe anyway...they were withdrawn from service for the most part due to their poor performance in combat.

Be that as it may...you just may get your wish. I believe a 3rd party modeler is almost finished with a version of the Me-410. I don't know the exact status of it and I don't know when or if it will be integrated into the game by the 1C folks at some point. But hey, the more, the merrier. Just some more cannon fodder for the Spits, Lightnings, Jugs and Ponies.

While not being able to fight single engined fighters, Me-410 was not a bad plane. Me-210 was.

performance doesnt matter ,the 410 wasnt all that bad.
the point is that its the best looking two engined
fighter of WWII hands down

the hornisse is my favo plane and i sure would like to see it ingame.
but first things first like a Pe2 Ju-88 ,or morey heavy bombers

and i dont like the tone of this thread with "I WANT" its not very friendly to demand things you dont urn http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Actually, while the Me-210 was a failure in comparison to the Bf-110 the Me-410 was a relative success despite the odds against it.

It was a good ground pounder and bomber interceptor.

Harti and team are working on the Me-410 now after it became difficult for the original team to work on it. http://www.netwings.org/dcforum/DCForumID43/1274.html

They are looking for as many references as possible. I for one would love to see this plane. I like late war planes, I like the looks of the Me-410, and I think it would be another fun twin engined bird to have around.

I dont think that is the point the author is worried about, Sunburst

Besides, while it has pleasing lines, it is BY FAR not the best looking twin (even tho the whole subject of aesthetics is after all, purely subjective)

Im sure community concensus about best looking twin would fall to the early lightnings or the mosquito

TO say nothing of the beautiful DH.106 Hornet (too bad it didnt see combat) or that purity of twin refinement, the Schwalbe, if jet, still a twin....

He11, even the He219 in my sig is better looking (and far, far more capable)

HEY, that photo right above me is not a Me-210. As a result, it's not what the Me-210 looked like and it's far from what the excellent Me-410 ground attack mammoth looked like.

Let me tell you something: When the Me-410 finally entered service in February 1944, it opened up a whole new world for the Popovs, who received some much deserved hell from the Me-410s in the form of spewing hell and flamming bolsheviks.

No, that photo above you is a production A-6 AFAIK, photo taken in 1944

If you cant tell a He 219 from a Me 410/20, even if only by the tail config, then you need to hit the books...hard
