...........and their plane FM * human controlled plane FM.

Differences are in:
-Engine management
-In flight characteristics
-DM

I disagree about the DM being different from AI to human controlled aircraft, if that's what you're suggesting. It that were the case, if you were flying any of the aircraft in combat and switched to AI control ( erroneously called "autopilot" ) in the middle of an enemy plane pinging you, then the program would have to switch instantaneously to a different damage model in microseconds. This is illogical and would not be easy to accomplish and far more complex to write into the program code also. There would be no reason to use two different damage models and complicate the programming language. Simply makes no sense from any standpoint imaginable.

I fail to see who's holding the Ai Zero's wings attached to the fuselage at high speed if not a different DM..............
I'm talking about some of the tracks I provided.
Can you comment that?

We need charts and graphs to support this outlandish claim.

DKoor, I thought it was common knowledge that AI uses a different flight model than Human controled aircraft. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

My AI wingies always pull in away from me when I tell them to attack.. even when I have the throttle firewalled....

They also fly past you like you're not even moving to steal one of your kills. And the harder you have worked for the kill, the more eager and zealous they are to steal it. They will come from miles around just to fly past you and blast your kill, claiming it for their virtual piggy selves. And you just wasted 5 minutes or so pinging him too.

I have the habit now of stealing thier kills to compensate. I'll put a few rounds in a plane they have just de-winged, get credit for it. Works at least half of the time.

Worse of all is they are more eager to go after a plane that is extremely damaged ( probaby one you damaged and would otherwise get credit for )
instead of the ones that are fully healthy and therefore more to worry about. They have no sense of priority.

dkoor knows this already, he's just supplying tracks that show this to be the case. With regard to DM, as far as i can tell, i think it is the same for weapons (ie damage from), but obviously not for damage from speed.

cheers fruitbat

Yes, it is a shame. I fly Japanese aircraft and the A6M2 zero is so slow compared to almost every aircraft it encounters. Add to this the AI cheat, and it is very difficult to get offline kills with new AI logic. Have not tried Pilot career yet, but am not expecting much. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

I posted this because I sometimes see "Ai FM = Human FM" line on these forums.
Tracks show what they show, so anyone can rather clearly see what is going on.

Or not.

I've stolen the AI's kills since day one http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. Even if the pilot has bailed, if the wreckage falls past me I'll put a few rounds in. I thought everybody did that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The ai is petty easy to trick IMO. All you have to learn is a few easily learned tricks. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

There is an easy fix for that. The wingie dies. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif Since I only play offline I have no problem doing that, online would be a different story, doesn't help the war effort but makes me feel a little better. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

THATS why they always hear others approaching.
