I was just wondering what character people would most want to play as in the new singleplayer dlc, there is obviously altair and ezio who you could play as, but there are other characters who have there own stories such as Giovanni, Mario, Darim, etc who we could play as, we could even play as Desmond or a totally new character. What are your views?

I would like Ezio to be honest.

I didn't see much character development in Revelations this time as opposed to the other games, and I'd like the chance for the Revelations characters to have more time so we get to know them better.

I voted for another character we already know. I would really like to play as Shao Jun from Embers, I wouldn't be disappointed one bit if she was in the DLC.

There is nothing more to tell about Ezio.
Desmond`s story will continue in AC III.
We cant play as another character.
We cannot play as a new Character, thats for AC III.

Altair is the most Relevant..

Hopefully no SP DLC for ACR, would rather have them spend their time on AC3 making it as great as possible within the time they have left. There is really no need for DLC after the great closure of ACR.

I'd say that there needs to be something for the SP if they've already made it.

So long as it appears before the end of ACR, I'd actually like to have some more story to the game. I feel that there wasn't much to it until Cappadocia, and having something else to do before that would add some weight to the games replayability.

As well as any side missions, because ACR was rather lacking in that department. They introduced the Romani, and yet we only had one mission with them.

SP DLC doesn't add in content that should have been in the game (ie. faction missions was one of your examples.) It would be a mission or two or something like the Copernicus Conspiracy or Da Vinci Dissapearance. This would be a drawback because of the time constraints they have working for AC3. MP DLC is fine because studios that don't do anything with the SP component work on it, but SP DLC is made by the same devs that work on the SP portion of the game- and I don't see how spending time on a one-one and a half hour DLC is worth it when you have a big release next November.

Maybe they'll simply release "The Impaler's Prison" like they did with ACB putting the Templar's Lairs as part of the DLC.

I find it hard to believe that Ubisoft had made a whole piece of singleplayer content like The Da Vinci Disappearance without working on it before release. Considering that they would have had a few months at the end of development where they would use for bug testing and additional Q&A, it isn't unfathomable that they had some employees working aside on additional content that they could sell on the PSN Store or Xbox Live Marketplace.

Also, seeing as Revelations wasn't very long when it comes to the story, considering that there was no real side missions to the game, it would do the game a lot of good if it was added.

This, We can not possibly play as Shao Jun unless we have a descendant of Shao Jun which Desmond as far as we know so far, is not. The only two that even make sense would be Ezio or Altair.

one seal (or 2) with Altair going to Mongolia to defeat Genghis Khan with us playing as Altair to help Qulan Gal...

taken from wiki:

In 1227, the four of them devised a plan to assassinate Genghis Khan in his camp near Xing-ging in Xu Province. While Qulan Gal and Alta´r went into the camp together, Darim covered them from a distance with his bow. However, Alta´r allowed himself to be seen and was attacked by a Mongol soldier, though Qulan Gal killed the Mongol before he could raise the alarm. Qulan Gal safely escorted Alta´r out of the camp and proceeded to make another plan with Darim.[2]

Qulan Gal and Darim then devised a plan to flush Khan out of his tent, and the latter did so after realizing the danger. Qulan Gal acted quickly and shot Khan's horse, causing him to fall off, killing him on impact. Darim shot the conqueror with his crossbow for assurance.[2]

We could play as giovanni hiding the shroud, Umar when he was an assassin which could include when saladin laid siege to Masyaf, or we could play as Darim confronting the Mongols or we could even play as Marcello. Or other characters like that. Firstly Ubisoft have probably been working on DLC for a while anyway because revelations is quite short and we have seen SP DLC for the past 2 games so i think theres a pretty high chance of SP DLC. I also think it would be better if Ubi spent more time working on ACIII to make it a better game but personally i want to play new assassins creed content soon :/ Anyway i created this thread so people could voice their opinions about the character which you play as in DLC, not for people to give their opinions on whether there should be any SP DLC at all.

I would really like to see like little "fragments" of some characters.

Spoilers
When Desmond arrives to the Sanctuary, he sees Ezio wearing Altair┤s Armor, that has yet to be explained, may be play with altair during the assassinsination of gengish khan or so

But I think it is sure to say that they will hint some AC3 stuff, pretty much what happened with the Brotherhood┤s DLC

You're kidding right? The DLC doesn't need to take place AFTER the end of ACR. It could be before or during the main story. Just like the Da Vinci Disappearance in ACB.

And they better put some side missions in there to stretch the story a bit. 1 mission per faction is just ridiculous.

Maybe the reason why Ezio appears wearing the Armour of Altair in the Villa is because...

*Spoilers*

Ezio mentions at the end of the game that he and Sofia would do some travelling, and they could pay a visit there. Ezio may use that opportunity to retrieve the armour back from underneath the rubble and repair it if needed.

Ahhhhh The Model used during the Sanctuary vision is nothing more than Ubisoft not bothering to make a new, Older Ezio Model.
He may not have been wearing the Armor and he came back to the Villa to leave the clue to the Vault for Desmond.

He may, he may not, but his travels and that he may be older than the model they had created could end up suggesting that he came back to leave him the clue now that he might have seen Desmond in the Sync Nexus.

I know he might not have, but I like the idea that Ezio has a little place where he collects his armour and weapons, and he went back to salvage it to make his set complete again. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Desmond. After all, his story is going to end in the next Assassin's Creed game and Ubisoft needs to develop Desmond's character as much as they can before his story arc ends.
