If it needs explained, the fuselage is broken (seperated) at the firewall and the wingtip caps are removed and on top of the wing along with a fairing and cowl. Like virtually all the German aircraft I've seen the non-crew compartment interiors are unpainted (wheel wells excepted, obvious reasons).

I do have more shots (sure of it), somewhere. I'll keep my eyes out.

Inspired by topic, I recall the Curtiss Assender (sic) having a flight log sheet still on the glare shield, upside down, and showing the last several flights. A freakin time machine . . . and the Ju388L interior is like BRAND @#$%^&! NEW http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif , you can still smell the krauts . . . http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif . . . well . . .

Man, that's amazing stuff http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thanks for the pictures chuter, I had no idea that there was an existing shinden, or that the U.S. still had one in storage!!

Great pics, and some interesting cockpit pictures as well you wouldn't happen to have any more?

Ya - two finished (roughly 100 in construction), one surviving . Fifty percent survival rate . . . just imagine . . . say . . . Messerschmitts with a fifty percent survival rate (2000 in existance at any ONE time, 30000+ total.) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif. They'd be worthless http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif ALMOST.

That's actually in very good shape compared to some others I've seen. The Australian War Memorial has made a bunch of their restoration work part of their exhibits - in some cases all that's left is a bent and flaking to pieces bit of the frame and the aircraft is built up from that. Almost seems that it's less work to restore an aircraft when lots is missing than when lots is left :>

They are built from scratch and other parts, not originals but very cool!
