Great work Jippo. The A-4: excellent choice of variant. Probably the most important one and useful for scenarios from the entire war. May I ask if the torpedo loadout will be included?

06-11-2005, 02:53 AM
One of the dreams coming true it seems.. Thanks to all involved!

06-11-2005, 02:56 AM
There are couple of other variants they might include, of which one would have the torps. But I do not know about their plans in detail.

The original designers of the Ju-88 didn't seem to have the interests of 3D modellers at heart did they? That cockpit is so complicated!

The developers have made something to be proud of, well done.

A Ju88 official update is a GREAT news! Thank a lot for this Jippo!
JU 88 is a must for all blue pilot!

Thanks Jippo http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif A question, i dont suppose the forward gun can be fixed and fired by the pilot as well as by gunner (flexible) as irl? I would prefer if it was fixed though i suspect it will be flexible only.

A 20 mm cannon field mod wouldve been cool on the A4 as well, but i can understand with all other variants that was modelled why it wasnt an option to model that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Nice! Thanks for the update. This will be a great addition, and will open many possibilities concerning different scenarios.

06-11-2005, 05:03 AM
We'll see about the mg, I suspect flex only.

A-14 is essentially same as A-4 with MG-FF, just a factory standardised version. If we get that, then...

Really good news, really good. At least something good official lately http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

I am really looking forward to see this plane(s) flyable in FB/PF. Like Grue_ have said, you guys have made something you can really be proud of. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Hopefully it wont be too long before we are zooming about bombing the heck outta stuff in that lovely bird!!

06-11-2005, 09:12 AM
Was just wondering about the torps, as the A-4 was the first one modified to take them - although it was a sub-version of the
A-4. Not just any A-4 could carry torps, so I could see why it might not be a loadout.

Slightly disappointed about the delayed Mossie perhaps, but been waiting far longer for this one!

Ive been waiting for the Pe-2 ever since I started flying this sim!!

But the Pe-2 should come our way at some point in the future I hope. If not, then at least our Russian bretheren shall have the joy of flying this bird!!

Looks Excellent Jippo http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You'd think they'd post an important update such as this on all of the various official IL2 sites. Strange that there doesn't seem to be co-ordination... especially when most folks would appreciate an update such as this.

Oh well... nice work Jippo.

06-11-2005, 03:16 PM
once again jippo thx for the update, cheers.

06-12-2005, 05:36 AM
Actually one could be tempted to say that it´s a shame that this backbone of the luffwaffe wasn't included from the beginning of IL2, but then we likely wouldn't have this high quality 3D model that Jippo and team has produced. Some of these guys has really set a new standard in in-game 3D models and created masterpieces like ..... no on second thought I don't want to name any because danger of forgetting other projects equally well done.
You have really raised the standard guys.

Building the model isn't the hard part, that's for nearly every one to do. Perfection and skill really shows in the endless hours spent on making every little detail over and over again until it looks right.

takes time for fine wine too...

Great work Jippo - cant wait to fly the Ju88

06-12-2005, 10:05 PM
Awesome work jippo. You could single handedly convert me to a bomber pilot with this plane.

06-13-2005, 08:28 AM

Thanks for all the hard work you put into making the Ju-88 flyable, Jippo. As someone else already pointed out, that one complex cockpit.
It looks awesome! Something to look forward to when 4.01m comes out.

I've been holding my breath since the announcement was made about the Ju88...does this mean I can start breathing again?

Jippo that model is jaw-dropping. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I've been following this project with interest, it's immensely satisfying to see it rendered in-game. (although I imagine, nowhere near as satisfying as it will be for you when it's released in a patch/add-on http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif)
