What do you guys think of Linux for gaming? Would it be better or worse than Windows XP, and why? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Most games are developed for Windows and will not run natively on Linux. There are Linux programs like Wine that will let you run some Windows applicatios on Linux. IL-2 1946 will run under Wine, however you not be able to play online. Also you may need a nVidia video card because of issues with the ATI drivers.

I don't play online and I have an Nvidia card. Are there any other issues? What would the gaming performance be like?

Someone for the love of god install Linux and wine on their Ps3 and then install Il2.

I want to see the reactions from people when they see that a sim is being run on a console.
