If I set my guns at say 700 What will the plane distance icon have to say for it to be in convergance?

.70 or 7.00?

Cheers

0.7.
But it's too much. Set your convergence at about <300 m.

It depends also on where your guns are placed. Wing guns obviously are much more sensitive to convergence settings that guns in the cowling.

I'd agree that 700m is excessive, with the exception of the P47. The dual banks of .50s allow you to use one set for long range head ons or 'scare' pings, and the second set for chewing a plane up close. When you're _really_ close, both sets of guns are going to hit no matter what convergence you have them set to.

I personally like to keep one set around 350-650 and one set around 100-200, depending on whether I'm flying mainly AA or AG. Long convergence definitely helps when you're trying to kill flak or explosive vehicles.

Long convergence for the .50 cals also seems to help reduce the 'rubber gun' effect that those guns encounter in FB. The nose guns in the P-39 get this effect as well - shots come out at ridiculous angles, especially at short convergence, it seems.

I keep my nose cannon set to 100 meters.
It's take the lob out of the shot.
