I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Oleg and the team and all the 3rd party contributers for such an outstanding game and for all the effort that has gone into making it.

I have not always been happy with this game, and I have not always been a gentleman. But I do appreciate the effort that has gone into making this game one of the best of its kind. I only hope that it can continue to be one of the most played and enjoyed games in history.

Thank you team.
Salute.

Scrappy.

What a brilliant patch. Many thanks to Oleg and team for the very hard work done to bring us this gem. IL2 keeps going from strength to strength. It remains THE definitive WWII combat flight sim... as real as it gets and means it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif, Well done guys!

We have the different realisms that before 2001 many of us only dreamed of.

Not perfect but perfect is impossible for maybe forever.
Not everything imaginable but that is impossible yet.

Now we have another problem. We are no longer the aces the old sims let us be.
Maybe Oleg, you have done too well, too quickly. My sorrow is that economy does not
respect quality or anything except sales. But there is licensing and why not many
new sims from the old engine. Anxiously many of us wait to see Gennadich Team, if
the WWI sim they are working on will be available in the West, and when. So far our
best was wrapped up not quite finished back in 1998 (thanks Vivendi) and that's what
we have. Something on IL2 engine and those updates we see at SimHQ... well BoB will
maybe, probably not be my favorite if both are at once. I buy both both but WWI is
more interest to me overall.

Oleg Maddox,

I pick up the sense that you are a modest man. That is great. I want you to know that you have done such great work and if you ever set out to make a game that will influence me to uninstall and sell off all of the other flight sims, then you have succeeded.

You have continually exceeded the expectations of the very community you helped create and it is as much an honor for me to be able to play the series as it must be for you to have created a community and have your sims named "Best of Year".

You have also done what any wargame maker-should do: You have made your game a tool which has made me learn about history in a new way, in this case, the GPW.

I give you a great, very sincere thank you from my heart.
