I have the regular Simped Varios and I love them. They work great with IL2.

I have vario pro's too (gameport for cougar). They work very well, much more precise than my old TM Elites.

If I were you, I'd go instead with the cheaper the Vario's for two reasons, the first is that they have double the throw than f16s the second is that your feet rests completely in a "cup". F16s should be fixed and then operated with the upper part of your feet only. You can still upgrade Varios with toe brakes and retain the complete feet rest and longer throw for about the same price.

On other hand, if you play more jet sims etc, the f16c is a better choice.

Ordered a pair myself last month. Don't want to jinx it but let's hope that Dieter if well enough to complete construction of our gear and send them on their way.

I only play IL2, thanks for your answers, i have plans in the future to build this cockpit -> http://www.62ndfightingfalcons.asn.au/62ndff/projects/cockpit/pra1.jpg and with the lower seat position i'll guess F16/C is more comfortable.

Dieter who makes these pedals are sick and it's a one man bussines, so there will be some delay ordering simped, but hopefully he will be well.

This is directly for ordering Simped F16/C -> http://shop3.webmailer.de/cgi-bin/ePages.storefront/443...iew/373012&2D2876923 (http://shop3.webmailer.de/cgi-bin/ePages.storefront/4434e84a000e7fb32718ac172c27064c/Product/View/373012&2D2876923)

On Cougar World there is a special thread only for Simped ordering status, perhaps the only way to communicate with dieter thru his friend peter.

Please excuse my ignorance, do you need an Thrustmaster joystick to use these pedals?

No, they are available both in usb or gameport (more suitable for a cougar).
