I bought a new pc with the following specs:

Asus P5E x38 chipset
intel core 2 quad q6600 @ 2,4Ghz (4 cores)
powercolor HD3870 X2 (2 vid cards on 1)
2gb pc8500 memory.

I already bought Assasins creed for the pc, so when i recieved the pc, i immediatly installed the game, but for some reason i got low fps (around 20-40, and even in some places it drops down to arround 15)
It is still playable, but i think that my setup can do alot more, because in Call of duty 4, with everything maxed, i get always more then 50 fps.
And in assasins creed, even on lower resolutions and in dx9 mode, i got low fps like 20-40.
Is there maybe a fix for this problem, or should i just have to wait for a new Catalyst driver? Im currently using 8.4

You don't mention whether you're using XP or Vista, if you're using Vista and Dx10, you'll get lower fps than if you run the game under Dx9.
