i built my own pc, had enuff of so called high spec shop pcs being nowt better than expensive doorstops or cat litter trays, and with home build, you get much more pc for you

and the exact spec you want

My 2 cents. . .

I have an NVidia GeForce 5200 with a Dell Dimension Desktop 2400 out of the box and have no problems. I'd guess if it's card related, it's a clash with another piece of hardware or program that causes the crashes.

Mine is a homebuilt. ATI X800 256 XT. AMD 2gigs+ Oc'd. 512RAM.
This is what I tell everyone who is haveing problems:
When I first installed, CTD all the time. Patches and all. I uninstalled, defragged my hardrive, reinstalled, repatched and I have not had a problem since.
I think defragging helped ALOT. I installed once before defragging with no improvment. After Defrag...much improvement.

I also build my own systems. Have never had any problems with any games except GP4 and I think it is sound related and it was there allready on those machines I had which I didn't build myself. No special fancy system, ASUSP4P800,Intel 3GHz, 1 GB RAM, Radeon 9600Pro256MB, Audigy LS. And I saved some money. And I had some fun building it too, there is an entertainment factor there too.
