I'll do ALOT of damage model testing though (see: Yak).

I'm really curious as to how ground-kill tracking will work in campaigns now as well.

First, my good old 109F-4, to see how the 20mm works. Will hunt some Ratas and I-153s to see whether they can climb and run with me.

Later, the P-39, to see how she spins. Then dive tests in the P-40 and rolls in the 'Bolt.

Finally the Fockes, to see if they're any better.

P-47.

Does it roll faster?
Can it dive away from a following aircraft?
Can it zoom climb well?
Can it hold onto energy in high-altitude fights?

Regards,

PS - and I am going to check the AI I-16s to see if they are still made of concrete.

make sure you fire the 108 Cannons on any German aircraft. You will be blown away yourself. The P-47 when I flew it still rolled slow. The P-40 was more stable, and did not blow up in dives, or maybe I was not going fast enough... check out the dust cloud on take off.

1. To see if German 7.92 mm have any impact on Ratas/Chaikkas

2. FW-190

3. MK-108 damage effect..and MG151/20

4. The Only-host-can-sink-some-ships bug. See if its finally gone.

5. P-47 (roll rate) /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

6. Yak-damagemodel..

7. See if BF-109 still looses controls that easily compared to other A/C

8. Brewster, if she finally can hurt Ratas more effectivily and can actually dive away from Ratas and Chaikkas..and she should be bit faster too, and have supercharger pos2-option..

9. UFO-Hurricane

10. Sniper-bomber-gunners.

11. Ship-AA, if they still use targeting computers /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif .. and regular ground-AA..

Edit:

12. And ofcourse Dive modelling on all planes.. like when flying with FW-190/P-47 those light Yaks should not follow you in dive when you are going 700kmh.. hopefully we finally get this sorted out.. it would also mean that former über planes will become less popular online.. halleluja /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

climbs and especially initialclimb

and speeds,dive

la-7 has initialclimb 28m/sec beta08 real has she 22m/sec,

will see if that fix,

but perhaps is 1.1b same as beta08 with new plane

and therefore little bigger

that means it has same mistake as beta08 and they almost all known

boring test then

Test Ju-87G if new ammo will destroy tanks more efficenty.(replaced Ju-87G underwing cannon shells with the tungsten-core APs) and if bomb will skip on hard surface when drop it so low. (made bombs able to ricochet off asphalt or concrete surfaces)

Of course, test gunfire on Rata, radio command on wingmen (warning wingman to look out for emeny on it's tail).

i-16 engine cut out. neat little plane but loosing your engine to turbulence stinks.

FW190A series handling.
p-47 which is a good fighter bomber even now.

109s especially G series to se if there is more of a torque effect.

of course my Yak 9T to see how much damage she'll be able to take.

Hurri & p-39 -will p39 be twitchy/easier to stall

Well for one I think the plane's damage model, FM and such will not change from the unofficial patches. So I already know ( I think ) how everything will be. But maybe I'm wrong!?!?! I hope so actually, because hundred of MG rounds should at least do something to an I-16 but so far, in any version of IL2 or FB, the I-16 is made of "diamond like" aluminum, wood and steel tubing. No signs of damage at all, even if you empty your entire ammo load into it. It does seem to be less impervious to cannon fire however. But don't try and down a I-16 flying any plane with MG only, unless you are a sniper and can get a pilot kill easily. I just hope they will improve this in the patch and I'm wrong. Not all of us are crack shots. I am good at hitting a plane, but not so good at picking any little part of it and hitting it exactly where I want to.
The Hurris seem to stall now if you push them too far. And like all planes in this sim that will stall or spin in the first place, there's little or no impending warning ( buffeting or whatever ) of an imminent stall/spin. Other than that I saw no changes in the Hurris but we'll have to see if that final patch further changes anything. Maybe the zoom climb has been toned down a tad in the Hurricanes, but not much. I have the impression, maybe wrongly, that the final patch will differ mostly in small bugs and not FMs.
Time will tell but I'd say that so far all patches are better than the original.

I was thinking about this yesterday - i think i will be definitely test it v.soon but it wont' be the first thing i test /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif #
i kind of liked the explosive ammo too( although it probably alot easier to take out tanks with ap - obviously) - would have been nice to have a choice of the two types of ammo in the arming section ( or did the 87-G only use tungsten core?)

about the bombs- i kinda of hoped he might have meant bullets ricocheting/skipping - but i suppose it is accurate for low altitude bombs too.

I suppose everyone will test their fave plane, then probably complain it`s not Godlike as it should be. Logically, everyone should test EVERY plane to prevent the obvios bias that would ensue.

Personally, I`m testing none. I`ll pick my Lagg 3 s, 4 and start flying in a campaign. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif As I progress I`ll change to Hurri, P-39, LA5 etc then try Jerries... That way I`ll just enjoy the sim and the happy atmos (against AI- no whining!). Not get all angst up and knickers in a twist cos this thingamebob doesn`t fly quite as vertically, horrizontally, sideways as much as whachamacallit to the inth degree!! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

All the Fw190 models! But especially the D-9. I will pay most attention to high speed manouverability, dive speeds, climbrate and zoom climbs. I will then test the Yak's and La's to find out what their strong points and weak points are. It'll be fun for sure! Still hoping for a D-12 though!/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I've tested and created a chart with top speeds of 18 a/c at altitudes starting at 1000m up to 6000m,with 500m steps.
This is very useful for knowing where you have an advantage against certain a/c.
So I guess I'll test the speeds again to see what's changed, especially with regards to the Dora's and the A-9s tedency to rocket off at around 3300m.
I'd like to see how the K-4 fares for speed and the 190 A series for manouvrability.
Modeling of dive acceleration and zoom climb.
Hurri and I-16 UFOs.
And of course damage models and firepower of German 30mm canons.
