S` i seen the mods locked a perfectly good discussion thread again not once again im the only one to post charts and still gets locked.

It was a perfectly good discussion I thought and was not out of hand we have some disagreements but most do here and thats what these forums are about aircraft discussion.

If your also interested in the data chart hires let me know and pilot manual.

For me i expect oleg to see the threads now and then and he does read them still rather then emailing the pf beta address and makes me angry when a good discussion gets locked.

then you have a teletubbies vs spongebob with 10 pages of replies that doesnt get locked on the first page...

I also wanted to see your tracks p51 a8 190a9 d 1000 to 6000m becuase im able to reach those speeds IAS you posted in the 190a9 and ds.

And you said they are TAS which is much faster then IAS.

yes im aware of the conversion chart and use it i also have it handy as a jpg for quick reference then loading up the pdf.

Anyways i would like to see the tracks if possible. Also do you used udpspeed or any of the other devicelink programs made? See you around on HL maybe you fly the mustang faster then me and i fly the 190s faster then your speeds, imagine that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif well anyways see you on HL

Sponge Bob kicks @ss, but the Teletubbies outnumber him, so they would win http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Just got in so I didn't see this.

No problem LS, and I completely agree with your Sponge-Bob/Teletubbie comment.

As far as what I use for testing speed, I simply use Oleg's guidelines:

-Crimea map
-Noon (default in QMB)
-Over water
-100% fuel
-radiator closed
-Boost enabled if available
-Prop-pitch auto or 100% if auto is not an option (I realize faster speeds are available with 190 on 100% manual but overheat is very fast).
-Default armament
-Properly trimmed
-Proper supercharger/fuel mix ture settings
-Cockpit off for TAS

That is how I do speed tests. As for A-8 track I sent it to Oleg and he confirmed it, I'll see if I still have it. That is how he found the supercharger switchover bug effecting several aircraft (FW-190, P-51, etc.). So expect the P-51 to be slightly better when this is fixed at altitude near switchover. For example if I fire up Forgotten Battles the A-8 does 603km/h TAS at 3,000m, just like IL-2 compare says. But if you play it in AEP or PF then you only get 575km/h. Quite a big hit and it has been there for a long time. Oleg said it will be fixed in next patch or addon, but it will take time as recalculations need to be done. He also said this would effect almost 1/3rd of the planes in-game. The funny thing is that I really did come across this when testing after your previous post http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

As far as tracks, just give me a specific scenario and I will gladly test top speed. As for max speed without overheat that would take much more time. Right now we (my co-workers and I) are preparing for a State inspection so life has been crazy for me lately. Still, just tell me what you want and I'll gladly test it.

Anyway, as I said real life has been kicking my a$$ lately so I haven't been flying nearly as much as I used to. Once the inspection passes and I can breathe again I hope to be on more. Also, there are no hard feelings on my end and I hope to see you on HL as well. Take it easy and good hunting.

It was definitely an interesting post but Hunde is the pilot you want to talk to, not I. He does all the testing, I usually just work with what I've got. I was really suprised that it got locked. No one was acting inappropriate and the discussion seemed to be an intelligent one.

Or you have Oleg replying to drunken, ridiculous rants. Odd times, indeed.

Cheers,
