I drawing I made, having some time on my hand.
Anyone have a gues, what I was trying to draw?

And no, it is not the Mentor although I'm the first to admit, that it resembles it very much.
The scribbly notes are the differences after I compared it to a picture

Brazillian Neiva 621? Designed as a succesor to the Fokker S-11 and S-12 training aircraft.

Looking closer, it can be the Fokker S-12 itself http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif This was the rectractable tricycle gear version of the Fokker S-11. Looking at the tail and the dutch handwriting http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif , this seems a better match.

It looks a lot like a Messerschmitt-designed Spanish trainer of the 50s, Hispano Aviación HA 100 Triana, but with inline engine:

Close but actually I was trying to draw this:

Pilatus P3, owned by somebody I know.
By the way, I drew it with an ordinary ball point pen. The notes were just some remarks by myself for future use.

Did you write the comments (on the paper) yourself?

Of course http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I find the pilatus P-2 such a very unusual aircraft.

Yes I did, in the ever lasting quest to improve myself. Some notes which I'll keep in mind next time I draw this plane again.

Nice shadow work.
Not too much , nor too little.
"Lagom" as we say in sweden.

What kind of illustration-field do you work in?

I'm just filling up the dull moments in a day with these drawings. I just have a couple of empty scrap paper sheets on my desk and draw away, when the need arises. I'm still not thinking about quiting my day job http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I always used to draw with a ballpoint too, much underrated as an illustrative tool. Great for gradation and shading.

Nice plane http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_redface.gif)

It sure is underrated, but my preference is divided between ballpoint and 2b pencil.
And I found that the staedler ball point is a real good one. All the others (and please read here, all the others I found at work, lying around, so the cheap ones http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif) are prone to smudge when you start shading.

How I long for an office job... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/typing.gif Meeting/sleeping time every now and then and some working at a desk in a comfortable chair. And when you don't want to work, you just put on a pre-recored MP3 with typing noises and go on drawing airplanes and other stuff. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I had to mount a surveilance camera today. It was raining of course and most of my tools got wet. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif Oh well, I am a bit proud of what I did today, the result is hanging for everyone to see now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
