Well, after much contemplation last night (which left me with only... 8 hours of sleep!? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif), I decided to swap out my heavy-duty-plastics-super-light-tension Saitek stick with my old and war weary Microsoft FFB2. Despite my desk's lack of space, I reasoned that if I could get the blocky X52 stick on there, the FFB2 would fit as well.

After much pushing of the keyboard, monitor, and speakers, the Forcefeed Back 2 once again sits proudy where it used to. And you guys were right - It's a whole different game playing with Forcefeed Back enabled. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif I can easily foretell stalls now (2 seconds in advance, that is), and playing with much, much, much more tension than the Saitek feels alot better. A whole lot better. I don't why I didn't do this before. (Although many of my shiny buttons are gone... Along with that great fingertip control...)

LoL... still using the same old Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 Joystick for 3yr's now.

And it's been through Many an Air Battle!

Just saw this on Amazon... http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00005NIMA/ref=d...3856-1785713?ie=UTF8 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00005NIMA/ref=dp_olp_2/102-2493856-1785713?ie=UTF8)

You guys, I have the true religion now, After reading about the wonders of the SideWinder for years I snagged a new one on eBay and am totally convinced. You get the Brown settings without fooling around with your IL-2 ETC settings. It is the greatest stick I've ever used, and I have gone through all the FF sticks currently available. Furthermore, if you use it with FS2004 or the FSX demo it blasts you with effects you only thought you would have with IL-2. I strongly recommend scouring eBay for SideWinder deals. I have backed up my original already.

Er, what's the difference between the Precision 2 and the Microsoft SideWinder 2---is the Precision 2 newer?

Got a used Precision 2 from an ex-squadmate a while ago, and yeah, they're great http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif About the only thing I'm not using (and / or used to) is the handle twist - I'm using a mini-stick for the rudder instead.

Still, cannot play IL-2 and / or FS9 now that my main gaming rig broke down http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif But that's another story altogether...

Just had a bit of a problem with my Hard Drive... 3day's finding the culprit and another day learning how to reinstall Windows.

Been working on reinstalling software and etc, etc. Should been done by the time BoB comes out! LoL

This weekend I'm checking out and pricing an external Hard Drive... something I've put off Way to Long.
