View Full Version : After some old Mods

I havenít played SH3 for years and I wouldnít be now if SH5 didnít need a constant internet connection which has completely put me off buying it.

Anyway I decided to dig SH3 out again and after a few hours of messing Around I got it to work on windows7 which is all good, as well as find a majority of the mods that I used to use but I canít find two of my favourites.

The first is the Das boot crash dive sound mod; every dive is a crash dive with this mod ?

The second is a mod which increases the amount of ships and convoys out there. Although I like things to be historical etc I find it a little boring hiking all the way to Freetown and back and only seeing two ships.
If someone could provide me with a link to these mods it will be much appreciated and I hope they still exist as is was rather a long time ago I last played this game.

I'm in the same boat as you, I won't be buying anything with DRM, and by the complaints it's getting, lost saves, lost connection, etc, I think it's a wise move.

Have you thought about GWX gold? I think one of the team may even send you a disk if you contact them. I highly recomend it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/typing.gif

the other day I saw SH5 on the shelf http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif ... and then saw another game (forget the name) and on this box it says 'Permanent Internet Connection required to play'.

I wonder how long it'll take for the distributors to realise that the people who buy their games have stopped buying.
