Yes. And I'd like a 9 foot wide monitor with a 6:1 aspect ratio to view it with. But I don't think I'm gonna get either!

The existing zoomed-out view already makes things too small. 180 would be even worse.

Absolutely yes, especially if we can go to a 'widescreen' format -- it's just the excuse I need for a plasma HD-capable bigscreen...

If my video card can drive it with a decent resolution, I want the option.

yes, but I'd rather see a 120 degree or somesuch than a full 180.

I don't think a wide view like that would be viable without matching monitors/goggles. On a regular 4/3 screen, there would be way to much distortion. Letterboxing to eliminate distortion would result in an extremely small image.

I vote no.

120 degree view would be nice...Flanker 2.5 offered 120.

Most likely, gaming grafix will give infinite perpindicular distortion at 180 degrees (like mirror hemispherical hub cap), although there is a more trig calculation intense method that gives a max factor pi/2 parallel distortion and Zero perpendicular distortion.

Think about this:: We know the famous FB Dots get invisible at higher Zooms and higher resolutions when seen below the horizon. A wider field of view would let us see the Dots at a higher res than the old "internet gaming" 1024x768 -- the resolution that FB Dots are designed for.
