I've noticed the turbo boost is at idle for the P-47 no matter what you do. Nobody flew it like this in the war, so what's up?

Also, the P-47 is still a bit too much of a pig in a turn. How can I say this? I know it's only 1/2 hour in the real thing, but still; if the real thing flew like the IL-2 FB version, I would have crashed on takeoff!

Also, on the newer P-47, how come none of the newer, more effective rockets?

Leaving the P-47 porked does not give me much hope for what Oleg and the gand will do with the P-51-D!

Sadly the the HVARS are on the -30 series and up an were not on the -27's. The roll rate and supercharger does need fixing.

However if you decide to arm the -27 with HVARS I wouldn't complain.

Oh Yea the mustang had a load out of 6 of them too.

Politely requesting Bump. Please make the supercharger work and tweak the roll. You even got a poster who Flew one! So he should Know what he is talking about.

I'll pay for a N model w/ HVARS, Put it in the pay for addon.

Oh, one more thing. When I flew that morning, it was at an airport whose elevation was 712 feet above sea level, 62 degrees F and with fuel tanks topped off. With all that weight in fuel, I should have noticed if it took off sluggishly like it does in the game. In the game, I will use 25% fuel, no ammo and it is still a pig on takeoff and in turns! Yes, it wasn't a Superchipmunk in the turns, but it wasn't nearly as bad as what we have in this game.

At least the IL-2 FB version does not vibrate your body to a point where you can't see straight! That is one thing that I didn't like about the real deal!

Sounds like the prop was out of balance to me.

Cheers

Actually, it's just the large, radial engine and the owner of the plane explained they were all like that and even warned me to go to the bathroom just before flying. Good thing I did because that plane will shake your kidneys!!!

Boost is available but the gauge is not working. Start at 4000m in QMB, watch the MP gauge and see that boost is still there. But it will be nice to have the control for wastegate like in real life.

S! Luckyboy,

Was that a modified 2 seater P47 like some of the P51's or were you flying solo?

Either way very cool!

They have flights out here in a P51, $300 for 30 minutes of flight time. Pricey but very fun and fast. The Merlin engine is very loud and very impressive.

I have also flown in the Air Combat USA dogfighting between to 2 marchetti turbo trainers. Very fun and easier to track your enemy during ACM than in FB--lol

Braveheart's William Wallace said it best:
"I see a whole army of my countrymen, here in defiance of tyranny. You have come to fight as free men, and free men you are. What will you do without freedom? Will you fight? Fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live, at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing, to trade all the days from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies, that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our FREEDOM!"
