Not a combat sim, but very nice & realistic flyable a/c to be used in conjunction with the MFS2004 platform, and flown one at a time.

I have the Wings of Power heavy bombers & it is d@mn good.
Opening the throttles of the Lanc on take off is just mind blowing. Especially with surround sound headphones. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I am having a great deal of trouble getting the "Wings of Power" Fw 190 radials to behave---not blaming the flight model, I'm blaming myself! I can't keep it in a straight line for takeoff. Using all the customary methods---locked tailwheel, strong right rudder, looking out along my nose from out of the cockpit---to no avail. Anybody with expertise with the "Wings of Power" radial 190s have any suggestions? I don't have this trouble with Oleg radial 190s.

....Yeah but guys...can you even fire guns, let alone use them on another plane....?Seems to me all a bit like kissin yer sister!!!!!!!

yes not been able to fire the guns did put me off buying the sim/planes but you can not beat good cockpits! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif and there is a lot of work that goes into the add on planes.

Hold on a sec, in this MS 2004 add-on u can't fire opon other planes, what the hell is that about.

It's a civilian plane sim, with no support for weapons or weapon damage.

The flight model is so tough I am getting a great deal of satisfaction learning to handle the aircraft well. Many of the features will be in Oleg's B OF BRIT. I consider it a way to get a leg up before everything gets changed by the new Oleg sim. With the ability to lean out your cockpit to avoid your mount's colossal schnozzola, take offs are definitely more interesting. The mix of end of war Kurt Tank products like the 190D-9, 11, 13, Ta 152C and H is stimulating. If you really want to learn how the WWII fighters and bombers worked in detail (engine management, fuel control, etc), "Wings of Power" is a lot of fun. I love slugging it out, but these models are great for honing piloting skills.

I downloaded some of the movies from Firepower from the Shockwave site. With that add-on, is CFS3 still a "pos"? I didn't mind CFS2 but never tried CFS3. I understand from members of this forum that it's underwhelming.

Good hunting,
