They are cool for single player,

They are extreme cool for multiplay or via email.

Lots of fantastic additions compared to the original,

winmbt is also cool as well as sp war.

All in all, fantastic strategy games for free

That company makes a lot of fantastic games.

Check out Titans of Steel: Warring Suns.

The AI doesn't fall for any tricks like kiting, and uses the terrain amazingly effectively. If you are not using energy weapons they will turn off their sheilds to save heat. Really amazing.

I've been playing the Steel Panters series since it first came out for DOS. Since then, SSI released the code and a community of gamers have further developed it, making many improvements along the way. It is a great game and is still being played by many gamers today. The A.I. is alright, but playing against a human is much more challenging.

Like K1961, this has been my "Bread and Butter" wargame, going back as far as the original squad level game. Even without 3-d, this game has amazing playability (which should be a lesson to all of these RTS manufacturers)

...if you are bored, don't worry the scenarios are unlimited...tons of people built new scenarios also.

SP also makes it very easy to generate battles by just clicking a few buttons.

I also played it back in the DOS days and still play the SPWaW and MBT versions for Windows.

Beautiful top-down graphics, good AI, great sound.

You can even change squad leader and vehicle leader names to put 'yourself' in the game!

There are other ways to get the game. Visit www.matrixgames.com (http://www.matrixgames.com) and search for Steel Panthers World at War and you will find the main website and download links.
