Can anybody please tell me if the assigned in-game controls can be printed? (Not the controls pdf file). I'm trying to build an X52 profile, and it would be so much easier if I had a printout to work from.

You could print out the setttings.ini file and the conf.ini file but that is not really what you are after I suspect.

I think what you are after is possible in a convoluted way.

Try the following ... try to follow along too! Remember I said it was convoluted!

-----

Go to controls and display what you want to print.

Press ALT + Print screen

Start mspaint (Start - run - mspaint)

Paste the screen capture bufffer into the screen by pressing - CTRL + V

Save that ... repeat as needed until you can print out the entire list of controls.

-----

Only way I know. Of course if you want to make it all pretty you could go to the trouble of cropping the images and then knitting them all together and such.

But I don't reckon an oldtimer would be willing to put up with such nonsense.

I did it with the grabs, so I didn't have to do it one at a time! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

but I use photo shop!

Do you mean the defaults or your settings...

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Users\

If you go to that folder you can save the filoe.. it will save not only your key settings but also your convergence and skin settings etc...

Thanks Waldo, worked like a charm - all 15 images of them. What's this about photoshop? Is there no end to the learning......

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif... Old timer, I'm an old timer too, and no, there is no end to learning, I seem to spend more time learning than flying.

photo shop is a program that I use to convert grabs in the game files to Jpegs, then I can e-mail them to a friend, theres probably easer ways. I'm sure somebody can explain it better.

I have photoshop, and have dabbled with some others as well. But for simple day to day stuff like this, I prefer Irfanview (which is free/open source)

There is a handy batch conversion utility in Irfanview that is rather ideal to convert files to and from various formats.

No nothing like that that I remember. It might try to install google toolbar or something. Just take out the check mark for it. There is also a handy pack of plug ins that are on Irfan's website too that are rather excellent.

Irfanview is a good freebie, and easy to use. Much better picture viewer than what usually comes with MS. I have used it for years no problems.

Thanks for the tip Waldo, will give her a try http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif Does IrfanView understand common game graphic formats such as DXT bitmaps, BTW?
