Surprised GR.net didn't get this first.

After all, they are Grin's best mates and Grin give them lots of useful info all the time http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

I found the linkage on Voodoo Extreme's website. I was surprised when I didn't see it here or even at Bluesnews.com

At 1.7GBs it will be interesting to see how many PC magazines included it on their DVDs as a demo.

i find it odd these demos are so huge lately.
are we just not compressing files anymore pre-install/game load like the old days?
ala the pak file system in the Quake games, and now we're doing more of a mess of folders style ala Unreal Tournament?

i understand the files are getting bigger, but when the demo rivals the full game for file size.. it just seems odd.
at least the quake and Quake 2 demos were just the full games with missing content (literaly, if you exchange the pak0.pak from the full game with the demo for either of them, you get the full game instantly! but you'd have to kinda have the file in the first place so http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif )

i'll be back soon with a thorough look through, you can be yer behind on that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Which link gives you the fastest download time, aside from a big file, waiting 3 hours for a download is no fun! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

I'm still doing it though! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

if your a subscriber, there all pretty good http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
but if yer a free user, usualy whichever is closest to you will be best.
not always, but usualy

Edit: tinkered with it some, and thus far, the AI isn't to shabby i suppose, at least they go WHERE i tell them now.

GFX are standing pretty well despite the loss of physics.

i find it interesting they decided to do the visual command thing ala the 360 with the circle, though they are kinda HUGE compared to what i was really hoping for http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
simple mod fix i'm sure though.

Weapon sounds are still kinda bleh since the MG's sound mostly the same :/ and i still wish we'd get a proper crouch walk compared to this shuffleing buisness... but it works i suppose http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
but overall.. i think i'm back on the "considering" list of possible buyers...

good job Grin! not a makeup for GRAW 1, but a danged fine comeback IMO so far if this demo show much to the final games value.
(oh... and where that digital .50 cal i'm owed? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif can't recall who made that offer... heh)

i'll give a more thorough digging later when i'm done watching the movie i'm stuck on ATM http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
but like i said... i'm impressed on the turnabout done with this game thus far.

Well, my d/l was at 23% when it decided that it wasn't going to run anymore and it took a krapper on me... bugger!!!

I'm downloading again from another link to see if I'm luckier than the first time around.

I am downloading from Internodes (my ISP) File Server and I am downloading at 821 KBP/Sec and it will take me 36mins to download... GO GO GO!!!!
