I would love to have a remake of PoP2. That'd be amazing!
So far, Ubi hasn't shown any interest in doing that though, but you never know. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

No... I wouldn`t like remakes of old games ! No matter HOW great it was in it`s time, that`s how the game should remain ...

And just think that the game will have awful sells, because everyone would think Ubisoft is out of ideas. It`s just like releasing a remix to a song that was released 10 years ago. I think Ubi is good enough to make better games WITHOUT remaking them !

No,Noone will think that UBISOFT is out of ideas. It will be just a remake and not as a unlockable in POP KB.I want that type of game in a separate CD on Next-Gen.I had posted above with little changes in the storyline and Levels.Keep the Levels same but make it More wide and Give us More puzzles in them.

I still think it`s not such a good idea. Then why won`t we start remaking in 3D all good games that were released in 2D ?

And just think the work that has to be done in order to.. what ? Release a game that already had it`s time and success ? I don`t think it`s worth it...

This type of game will please the Old Fans as well as the Original Prince will make New Fans. And later on it would be helpful for POP Team to release a sequal to POP Shadow and The flame.Everyone will agree with me that this game is the best 2D game we have ever seen. This game shows How Creative Jordan Mechner is.

I remember discussing this topic a while ago, but its cool to see it being discussed once again... glad to see the idea hasn't been forgotten. Thanks pop_sot http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Now of course I voted yes, for the simple reason that POP2:Shadow and the Flame is my favourite POP game ever released. It had a such a authentic feel to it that i can never ever forget.

About the remake, i was hoping that UBISOFT could remake POP2:S&F with 3D graphics.... BUT.... they would still keep the game as a "Side-Scrolling Platform" game. Kinda the same thing they did with Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project. I personally don't think Ubisoft are ready to re-make POP2:S&F to a full 3D 3rd-Person adventure game, coz it will be too much of a liability for them. Besides, it will change the whole classic feel of POP2:S&F if they made it third persona.... it just wouldnt be the same. However, just tweaking the graphics to 3D and keeping it a side-scrolling platform game will give the game life without changing its classical look. I dont think Ubisoft will have too much trouble to remake POP2:S&F this way, so yes - I would love for UBI to do this.

Ofcourse they are not ready to make a Full 3D version of POP S&F Ancient-Prince!But still I would Love to see POP Shadow and Flame as a full 3rd Person game on the Next Gen as well as PC.Because the game is too Much popular among the old fans and it will also make some new fans and Like I said earlier It would help UBI to release a sequal of that would follow the footsteps of POP Shadow and the Flame.Okay I have an example,Imagine this type of Scenes in Today's Technology and Engnie.
