I read on the forum that the AI was cheating so the ennemy would be "harder" to shoot down. For some reasons i think they should reverse all that for more enjoyable dog fighting. This game is all about historical accuracy so i think the AI planes should keep their weakness. What do you think?

I think you should take your trolling to the GD. Or better yet, take this weak crap and just not post it.

He's got a point actually, the AI has advanced pretty far from the original versions. A present incarnation of a rookie is much better than higher levels of early IL-2. Might be a good thing for new blood in the game to have a noob level. How many noobs bin the game quickly out of sheer frustration in single play?

I can't believe i got flamed by the follower of the boards for this post. I'm only suggesting a step closer to realism, cheating AI isn't realistic. As a IL2 fan i'd like to fight other planes with their weakness, it doesn't mean the game is going to be easier.

By the way, if you want to make unpleasant remarks on this post, just ignore it. Don't take exemple on the follower of the boards.

Dodgy title mate. Attention seeking or what?
Btw the AI don't cheat - they are not real.

You can do that - just click on the button on the right hand side, QMB. FMB: it's in the drop down object menu. If you are in someone else's mission or campaign then they've already decided how good the AI pilots are.

Cheers!

There are a lot of issues needs fixing or improved in relation to the AI. But it's still the best AI I've seen to date. But calling the AI cheating? How can the AI cheat? As far as I know, it does what it's programmed to do?

You guys need to chill out a bit, the AI DOES cheat. The flight models of AI planes are very beefed up and exaggerated. The AI doesn't suffer from blackouts, they dive past their critical speeds, they can see through clouds. Do I need to go on?

This guys is just saying what many of us have said in the past. FB is an incredible sim but flying against FM's that are so exaggerated takes away from the immersion and realistic feeling. FB does have the best AI to date (and I am grateful for what we have), no doubt, but it needs some work in the "simulation" department.

To the original poster, I'm with you 100%. Don't get too frustrated mate, you will run into the occasional hostility and ignorance here, even if it isn't justified.
