its a well known and from Maddox confirmed BUG that they are not correct "put" in the 3D modell of the Spitfire Mk.Vc.
they are to high in the fuselage - therefore the propeller is lower in front of you, the cowling is missing and the wings are looking ugly short http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

the Seafire and Spitfire Mk.VIII (IIRC) had this proplem also when they were released. these planes were corrected.

please consider to solve this "bug" - even Oleg said in the past the team would have no time for that.

with the comming ItalyOnline and Burma maps the Spitfire Vc will propably be more used. and it would be nice if it would fit in the rest of the ingame Spitfire familie.

the Spitfire Vc is based on the same 3D model (Nymes one) as the Seafire/Spit VIII AFAIK

I asked for this bug to be fixed but it won't be as there is no time. This bug gives the Spitire Vc a big advantage in defelction shooting. If it isn't fixed replace it in online missions with a MkV or Seafire.

Yes very interesting, when Spitfire has a bug, it's a good bug and benefits it, look at the cockpit of FW190...

IIRC this was introduced, or at least increased, when the overall seat position have been raised, a few patches ago.

But then, Brain32 is right - welcome to the FW190-world.

sry, but you guys have realy strange ideas sometimes !
if you always saying "hey that need no fix, the other stuff is also not fixed." - i belive there would have been no fixes at all.

i just wanted that the Spitfires all look the same..............

if there would be a cowling in front of me or not - they just should look like same .. and actually its a confirmed bug !
other Nyme-Spit models had it too when tey were released (as i said) , so they should know whats wrong and how to fix it .

and actualy it looks so ugly seeing to the side and seeing these "short" wings there http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Spitfire Mark Vc has a ridicoulous bug....
NP for Mig-9, but before work on the UFO jets, would have been nice if some of these bugs would have been solved. Mark Vc cockpit is one of them, first of all for the snap shoot advantge.

JG53Frankyboy, acutally we said the opposite:

We would gladly like to see the Vc fixed, if we also get the other crucial errors in Copckpit-Modelling eradicated. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

The thing is: We're trying to tell you, that this depate of cockpit errors has a beard as long as IL2 does exist. But no changes to cockpits are made, that's official - like it or not. We're just the messengers.

BUT , the that the Spitfire MkVc cockpit is "sitting" to high in the fuselage is a confirmed bug - and that was already fixed in other Spitfires..........

things like bad rearview , Fw190 "bar" and so on are Developer decissions , no bugs as i understand what a bug is.

Many planes do have cockpit modeling problems, or texture problems. Small things, but certainly bugs.

But none are every remedied, nor exterior bugs like Spitfire wing or Yak-3 wheels.

In general it seems that re-importing mesh is something that MG doesn't do. It must be a time consuming process, perhaps requiring the redo-ing of other work to accomplish.

spit v models had and probably still have dodgy performance, like way below what it should at alot of alts.

a mark I would have better performance at average dogfight height, i think http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Dogy performance? ROTFL

Agreed, p1ngu666.

The funny thing is, that while if definitely underperforms in some areas, it at least as much overperforms in other areas.

Funny, only the bad things get named... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

The Vc is of course of great interest to aussie pilots being used extensively by the RAAF (albiet with overheat problems due to poor tropicalisation)
