Look at this screenshot. http://forum.sukhoi.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=30555

This is su-25T addon for Lockon which comes out probably this month.

Notice shattered canopy glass and blood. The detail is amazing.

Wow! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

I had no idea Lock On looked this good!

Lock On is very nice but it takes a high-high end computer to make it shine. Something in the line of this will do:

Its probably a good indication of what BoB will bring us next year when we have the hardware (64 bit systems) to deal with stuff like that.

It was the same when the original IL2 was released and still the same as playing IL2 in perfect mode. The FPS are quite the same with maxed out settings, cause the pixel-shaders need a good machine.

The only thing that turns me down, are still some nasty bugs and the lack of a long-term-enjoyable campaign system. Even IL2 has a better campaign http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

But I still enjoy LOMAC and hope the addon will fix some of the bugs.
Honestly, I fear it will change the face of LOMAC, because the new SU will have a different , more complex physics system. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

ROFL @ F16-Fatboy

I love the steering wheels on that thing. 1950's HOTAS??!!

That screencap does look good, just a little unclear what's going on in the canopy.

Thanks F16_Fatboy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Now I know why my system doesn't run Lockout http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

is that blood on the canopy? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Yes, von_Zero - the addon brings a whole new flightsystem, new avionics and a completely reworked damage modell, that includes burst ranges from missiles (no longer scripted) and real bullet and fragmet penetration and according damage to pilot and systems.
Again, this only applies to the new a/c. Another addon is planned for the addon of a KA-50- helo.

Those screen shots are all very well but they forgot one important thing....WHERES THE BLOODY PROPELLOR??...sheesh!...all that effort and they forgot that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Fatboy: thats a FAKE, FYI http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
This system will not run LOMAC, but its great for submarines.

PS: Why should I want blood on canopy? Me wants bulletproof canopy! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The real killer is that back then a computer that size had all of what.... @ 4M of RAM? If any...LMAO

What are these 'mega bytes' you talk of Bearcat? My PDP8 has 4096 words of 12 bit memory and it does me just fine!

i still wonder if those shots are renders because i can not think of a machine that would run this quality in lomac during a regular flight.

also i doubt whether i should pay again for a game that initially had, at least for me, massive amounts of bugs with boring campaigns, bizarre FM and was a huge overall disappointment.

Must be rendered..

Lock On = 10fps
Addon = 5fps

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

On a 3Ghz, 1 GB RAM and 9800 series of course, med settings http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

That's a pretty remarkable achievement in getting it to run that slowly. I play LOMAC at 1024x768x16, medium textures, high scenes, med water, planar shadows, .. at 4x FSAA. This is on a 9550 and an old tbird!

What have you managed to do to your machine that it is getting spanked by something with almost exactly half the horsepower less? Do you work for microsoft or something? :>

Nope, looks like in-game, the self-shadow quality sort of gives it away. Sick!

clint: rendered meaning image computed in a high quality renderer, not in game at real time.
