I play on a laptop. Yours should not be a problem, and yours is newer. I rarely have any problems, maybe a few hiccups here and there.

Congrats on your new laptop m8.

I play on a 2 year old laptop too, wireless on line with no problems at all.

BTW, did I tell you I've got a new pair of socks?

Sorry again.... **** **** **** ****!!! Go 6600 DDR II (RAM), 256Mb.

Isnt the video card too good for a Centrino 1,73???? Estimated fps at 1024X... high quality no AA, no AF... More than 30????? Remember Geforce is better on PF!!!

Laptops aren't generally good gaming platforms. Particularly for performance sucking games like PF which utilize all parts to very close to their maximums. You may run into overheating issues later on....

I'd say that if you get 30 fps as FoolTrottel suggested then you'd be doing pretty good. If those 30 fps remain after a 2 hour gaming session then thats VERY impressive.

GeForce is a BIT (emphasis here) better in doing OpenGL than ATI. This is purely driver/API related and not anything to do with the hardware...if ATI actually rewrote their OpenGL components they'd be right up there. GeForce VS ATI with roughly the same performing card is going to be within 5 fps or less all things being equal.

I suppose you are exagerating....

I actually have the following laptop:

2,8Ghz
512Mb RAM (worst kind of it)
Intel 82852 (shared 64Mb)

With this laptop I bought two years ago for 700" I achieve 15 or so fps at 1024x..., highest quality in everyghing!!!!!

Dont tell me that Geforce Go 6600 256Mb will be just a bit better than my old computer (this one costs 1200". http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Hope you are exagerating!!!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

This is a common problem, I get it frequently and so do my non pf playing friends - I don't think it's a software fault. Moving the fridge closer is a simple fix but doesn't cure the problem...good luck though mate (p.s, bigger bottles/cans can help too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif)
